I'm back with Joey. Joey, how long have you been working for the United Family? I've been with the United Family for four years. That is so awesome. So what I'll do you do? My title is Communications Manager, so I I handle a lot of our internal and external communications that ranges from press releases or media events all the way to company newsletters, our blog, and. And other aspects of our internal communications that is so awesome. So what has been probably the most impactful thing that you've seen while working here? You know, I think the most impactful thing that I've seen while working for the United Family is really just our commitment to community and our commitment to family environment. You know, we really do our best to support initiatives and organizations and other groups across all of our communities, whether that's food banks or school districts or our our local universities. You know, we really try from the top to the bottom. To make a difference in everything that we do. That is so awesome. Thank you so much. You're welcome. I'm back here with Abby. Abby, can you tell us a little bit about what you do for the United Family? Yeah, absolutely. So I'm Abby Rampy and I'm the director of public relations for the United Family. So basically what that means is we get to be in the community a lot and support our community for our 97 grocery stores. So we're out in the community financially supporting them, but we're supporting them through volunteers. And then just. Overall support because our guests means so much to us and we want to give back. Awesome. And how long have you done this for the United family? It's been about a year. It'll be a year, June 12th. So we're right there. Goodness. So we're about to hit that anniversary. That's right. And our mission statement is Ultimate service, Superior performance and positive impact. What does that mean to you? Well, I mean, I'll start with Ultimate service. So you know, for 100 years our grocery stores have been around. And we have always wanted to provide excellent service, whether that is a smile at the checkout stand or helping someone just find a product in an aisle that they can't find. But really importantly, it is carrying those groceries all the way to the car and making that connection. So it's not just a two second interaction, it's a relationship, it's a friendship. And many of our guests have that support from all of our team members. Secondly, superior performance. We asked a lot of our team members. And with that, they hustle and it is a quick business. It is a dedicated business. Being in retail can be a 24/7 business. So our team members are committed to making sure that our guests have everything they need, whether that's in our grocery store, all the way to our distribution center or volunteering at a community event. We strive for superior performance and then third ultimate impact. And that is where my job really gets to come to play and that is serving our community well. And partnering with so many nonprofit organizations that help an education or health care that really just have money that comes back to our communities. And that's what's so important when you're a guest oriented. Supermarket, you want to make sure that your guests are feeling loved and one way to do that is supporting them in their communities and that is ultimate impact. Wow. So you got to hear a little bit about our mission statement and what it means to Abby. Thank you so much for doing this for us.To view or add a comment, sign in
