The National Conference on Responsible Business Conduct was organised by School of Business Environment, Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs to enable businesses to accept and integrate environmental impact, social responsibility, and governance practices (#ESG) into core #business philosophy, policies, practice and process. A comprehensive guide and compilation of case studies of the change-makers on ESG practices in the Indian context, ‘Embracing ESG in India’ was launched at the event. Speaking at the opening session, Shombi Sharp #UNRC 🇮🇳 said: "We must learn the lesson that it is only through partnerships between industry, government, civil society, and international community that we can achieve Agenda 2030. We recommit the UN system to be your trusted partner. A multilateralism that is fit for the 21st century for our needs."

The Summit of the Future will bring world leaders together to: ✅ accelerate efforts to meet our existing international commitments ✅ take concrete steps to respond to emerging challenges and opportunities This will be achieved through an action-oriented outcome document called the Pact for the Future which will be negotiated and endorsed by countries in the lead-up to and during the Summit in September 2024. “Vulnerable road users, including pedestrians, bicyclists, and two or three-wheelers constitute 66% of all reported road traffic deaths in our Region”: Saima Wazed, Regional Director, World Health Organization South-East Asia, said in her address at the 15th World Conference on Injury Prevention and Safety Promotion (Safety 2024), underway in New Delhi.   The new WHO South-East Asia Regional status report on road safety outlines strategies to reduce road traffic fatalities and injuries in the region, which contributes to about 28% of the WHO estimated total global burden of road traffic deaths.
