You can't study disinfo and not study Air Defense. They have been inextricably linked since at least 1983. I still can't tell you if Lyndon LaRouche and General Graham really hated each other or if that was all for show. How can you tell it's still an issue? Lies about S-400 and Kinzhal efficacy and every other night AD expert after Iran's controlled escalation attack. Here are some of my more recent fav reads for background on AD: https://lnkd.in/eXs3zfTK In times of hot takes, turn to deep reading.

THE RIGHT MINDSET It is pre-mature and fatal in wartime for authorities to assume that the acquisition of new platforms and weapons systems would automatically increase defense capabilities. It is first necessary to satisfy the requirements by which these capabilities are realized and sustained. Failure to do so would not only compromise units and personnel but also the security of a country. It must be understood that there are considerable amounts of work to be done in many areas to reach combat readiness and thence wartime resilience, from which victory and the country’s survival are dependent on. Non-appreciation of the necessities that make armed forces strong and capable of accomplishing their missions would lead to unaffordable and unacceptable failure. The following conditions must be met: · Personnel must be competent · Crews must be battle-ready · Weapons platforms and systems must be in combat-ready states · Ammunition must be ample and replenishable · Supply chains must be assured, responsive and efficient · Reliable support and security infrastructure must be in place · Technicians to keep things in working order have to be available always · Self-reliance in defense must be operative
