PEXX’s secures $4.5 million to boost its stablecoin payment innovations #PEXX, a #fintech startup focused on stablecoin-to-fiat payment solutions, has successfully closed a $4.5 million seed funding round. The round was led by TNB AURA, with significant participation from Antler, EMO Capital, and other notable VC and crypto investors. Founded by Marcus Lim, PEXX aims to revolutionize cross-border transactions by enabling users to transfer stablecoins like Tether (USDT) and Circle (USDC) directly to bank accounts worldwide, bypassing intermediaries and simplifying global value transfers. This substantial investment will bolster PEXX’s engineering and product teams, as well as expand its marketing and business development efforts, starting in Southeast Asia. EMO Capital will also assist PEXX with Web3 marketing, branding, and strategic partnerships. CEO Marcus Lim expressed excitement over the funding, emphasizing the growing demand for stablecoin-to-fiat conversions as stablecoins gain wider acceptance. Angelina Tu, co-founder of EMO Capital, highlighted PEXX’s role in bridging the gap between the Web3 world and traditional finance, providing users with seamless access to convert digital assets into everyday purchases. ADDX CEO Hails the Dawn of a New World of Tokenisation and Explains How TradFi Conventions Go Digital Oi-Yee Choo, CEO of Singapore-headquartered ADDX, is a believer in technology. She is convinced that the rapidly emerging tokenisation and digital assets universe will have a dramatic impact on fundraising and investment activity in the public and private capital markets. That is because tokenisation can be done for mainstream or alternative private financial and physical assets, meaning a potential market of scores of trillions of dollars of assets across the globe eventually. ADDX concentrates for now on more realistic missions to tokenise relatively illiquid financial assets and sell fractions of those to accredited investors, who then gain access to liquidity through the ADDX platform. As the story of disintermediation via institutionalised tokenisation unfolds, Choo believes this will have a dramatic effect on investment behaviour amongst private clients the world over.
