UPG Sustainable Leader 🥹 I'm thrilled to share that I've successfully completed and graduated with distinction from the UPG Sustainability Leadership Class! This intense program, spanning over the last 5 months, saw 500 graduates emerge from over 3000 applications worldwide. United People Global (UPG) is a dynamic community dedicated to making the world a better place through active participation and contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). "At UPG, we don't just dream of change; we drive it forward with purpose and passion." The mission is anchored by four powerful pillars: 1. Awareness – Opening our eyes to global challenges. 2. Belief – Empowering us to make a difference. 3. Collaboration – Strengthening our impact through teamwork. 4. Community – Binding us in a shared commitment to build a better world. This movement inspires and enables individuals at all levels to take positive action. It’s about doing what we can with what we have, rather than waiting for someone else to act. I’m thrilled to share that I’ve recently completed an extensive series of training to become a DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) Champion! This accomplishment is far more than a certificate; it’s a powerful pledge to cultivate environments where everyone feels valued, heard, and included. In today’s world, fostering diversity and inclusivity isn’t just a strategic choice; it’s a moral imperative. With a renewed sense of purpose, I’m more inspired than ever to actively shape spaces that embrace diversity, equity, and inclusion at every level. This training has armed me with the insights and tools needed to champion the principles of DEI and to advocate for the cultural and business practices that allow these values to flourish. True DEI leadership begins with self-awareness and cultural intelligence. It’s through cultural intelligence that we unlock the full potential of diverse teams, bridge gaps in understanding, and create truly inclusive environments. In our interconnected world, cultural intelligence serves as a guiding compass, transforming diverse perspectives into a powerful force for innovation, collaboration, and growth. I had the privilege of facilitating a 3-days bootcamp as part of PepsiCo APAC Talent Academy - Cohort 3, in Shanghai a few days ago. The program covered the following topics: - #Strategy and #Transformation - #Digital and #Innovation - #Leadership Participants from this cohort had the opportunity of getting together for this part of the program. Previous cohorts were not as lucky, given the circumstances of the previous years. The energy from the participants, their willingness to actively engage in the #CaseStudy and #Simulation discussions, and their ability to let themselves go and have some fun was inspiring and my own source of energy. I can't ignore the fact that while I was running the first day of the bootcamp, the Colombian National Football team (I am Colombian!) was playing the Copa America Final against the Argentinian National team...and of course there was an Argentinian participant, Pablo Garibaldi. Even though he got to know first that his national team had won, he kept composed...until I saw the news online...and I had to do the honorable thing...I shook his hand and congratulated him...but deep down, I felt like crying...hehehe. Anyway, life goes on, and I want to wish all the very best to all the participants from this cohort in their leadership journey. I am thrilled to share that I have been chosen to participate in the Santander UK Breakthrough Women Business Leaders Mentoring Programme as a mentee. This is an incredible opportunity for me to learn and grow with the guidance of experienced women leaders from a diverse range of industries.
