Throughout the month of Feb I've decided to spotlight and provide you with insights into the amazing people within Reckitt's UKI Commercial business. Next up is the fabulous Stephanie Lilley (and beloved dog), our Regional General Manager for Reckitt's UKI Hygiene business... 🐾 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗯𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗸𝗶𝘁𝘁’𝘀 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲? I find the Reckitt culture to be fast paced, action oriented, delivery focused, inclusive, caring & fun. These are the reasons I enjoy it so much. 🐾 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗸𝗶𝘁𝘁? When I first joined Reckitt as a graduate trainee, I was told that the Directors and General Manager expected me to challenge them, and I should expect to be part of debate & discussion. From day one, my opinion has mattered at Reckitt, and I try to take this same approach with my own team. This is why I love Reckitt! 🐾 𝗙𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗞𝗜 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝘆𝗴𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁? We have a really enthusiastic, dynamic, caring & inspirational team. Every minute I spend with them is a privilege. I like to walk around the office chatting to people, learning about their lives, what they’re working on, how I can support them. I don’t know if they enjoy it so much, but it gives me energy! 🐾 𝗙𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗸𝗶𝘁𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗵𝘆? This is very specific, but Optrex Actimist. I remember launching the product and watching it fly so it will always hold a special place in my heart, and if you have hay fever or dry eyes, there really is nothing better. At Mondelēz International, every day is a day of new learnings and growth. This week I learnt how a small conversation with a consumer can change a lot. For my project, when I spoke to consumers for Cadbury Dairy Milk I realised so much about their perspective and the feelings that go behind every purchase. Before joining the company I was under the perception that chocolates are only an impulsive form of purchase but after talking to consumers I saw the emotional attachment with the brand. One story, in particular, captured the essence of this connection. A woman recounted a childhood memory where, after a tumble from her bicycle, her grandfather offered her a Cadbury Dairy Milk to soothe her spirits and embolden her to try again. Since then, this chocolate has become her trusted companion during moments of distress, a beacon of comfort in times of need. This touching anecdote serves as a poignant reminder of the profound impact our products can have on individuals’ lives. One year of my master’s is coming to an end now. With this, imagine diving into a project with Birra Moretti, a top Heineken brand, and facing a challenge that pushes your marketing skills to new heights. Sounds exciting, right? This was our reality in the final course module at Cranfield University. Why was this project a game-changer? 1. Marketing Consultancy Project: This project involved developing a comprehensive marketing plan for Birra Moretti's off-trade market. The MCP was designed to integrate all the marketing theories and frameworks we’ve learned, applying them to a real business challenge. It was an intense, one-week competition where each team acted as a consulting firm, aiming to provide the best strategic recommendations to increase Birra Moretti’s market share while maintaining its premium brand positioning. 2. Team Synergy: Working with my incredible learning team gave me real-world insights that no textbook could provide. We tackled challenges, brainstormed late at night, and pushed our creative limits. 3. The Result?: Did we clinch the top spot? No. But the knowledge and experience we gained? Priceless. It's not always about the win; sometimes, it's about the journey and the lessons learned along the way. A huge thank you to Professors Stan Maklan and Vasilios Theoharakis for organising this project and making it an integral part of our course module. Your guidance and support were invaluable.
