CEO at Social Art Signal | Communication, Networking and Public Relations Expert | AI Enthusiast | Communications and Journalism BSc | MBA
Individuals in roles such as #PublicRelationsSpecialist or #PublicRelationsManager become more effective professionals when they have diverse experience in their field. Those working under their supervision gain a clearer understanding of their responsibilities. Contrary to common perception in Iran, public relations is a highly specialized field crucial for establishing and developing both internal and external communications. All human achievements are first perfected in the cognitive and communication domains before they come to fruition. A Public Relations Manager holds a highly dynamic role with multiple responsibilities. They need to be familiar with the intricacies of their work, have a passion for continuous learning and staying updated in the fields of technology and communication, and act as a driving force for awareness and information dissemination within the organization. The Public Relations Manager oversees the flow of information within the organization. Therefore, to achieve success, dynamic organizations select individuals for these roles who are psychologically distinct from those employed in other departments. This distinction highlights the organization’s and the #TalentManagement department’s ability to monitor and make informed decisions.

The media industry in Malaysia has an opportunity to learn and grow from each crisis #media #training #mediaindustry #Malaysia
We first need to understand crisis management and then crisis communications, which is a multi-stakeholder operation. Enjoyed sharing my knowledge on the subject as part of a nationwide effort by the National Press Club to empower journalists and the broader media industry. In a crisis the biggest challenge to manage is often misinformation and the impact misinformation has on the public, regulators and political leadership. It usually plays out in the media or social media. That's why journalists have a critical role to play. The problem is, not everyone is an honest broker and the media are targeted for manipulation. Come and learn how to deal with this as a journalist. In a world where uncertainties loom large, the ability to communicate transparently during crises is paramount for any business or organization. Overlooking crisis communication training until it's too late can lead to chaos and confusion. ECOWAS Commission , in partnership with Admedia Communications Limited , is hosting crucial Crisis Communication Strategy review workshop in Abuja to fortify the organization's ability to communicate clearly and effectively during times of crisis. Commissioner Abdel-Fatau MUSAH and Dr Cyriaque Agnekethom underscored the workshop's significance in their opening remarks, highlighting its pivotal role in enhancing communication capabilities. Story Time: Upholding the Honor and Integrity of Public Relations Dear PR Community, Sit back and let's delve into a crucial issue that’s shaping the future of our profession. Recently, at the African Public Relations Association conference in Côte D'Ivoire, our CEO Esther Amba Numaba Cobbah delivered a compelling speech emphasizing the importance of professional ethics in Public Relations. This sparked a lively and insightful discussion among our team at Stratcomm Africa, highlighting a profound realization that the ethics of our work have been neglected, and it’s time for a change. Public Relations has been misconstrued and reduced to roles such as spinning stories or acting as clean-up agents. These misperceptions stem from various sources: unethical behaviors of some professionals, inaccurate portrayals in movies and series, and the mistaken belief that PR is only necessary during crises to "clean up" an image. But let's pause and reflect on what Public Relations truly is. The International Public Relations Association (IPRA) has redefined our profession: "PR is a decision-making management practice tasked with building relationships and interests between organizations and their publics based on the delivery of information through trusted and ethical communication methods." PR is about trust and ethics. It's about building and maintaining relationships with integrity. As PR professionals, we have a significant role in upholding the honor and integrity of our job. It’s not just about managing perceptions but fostering genuine connections through honest and transparent communication. Our team discussion brought to light the corrections we need to make, the ethical standards we need to uphold, and the role we must play in redefining PR. We realized that it's not just a job; it’s a commitment to excellence and ethical practice. I challenge each one of us to commit to this higher standard. Let's diligently and ethically fulfill our duties, redefine the narrative, and demonstrate the true essence of Public Relations. By doing so, we can restore trust and elevate the status of our profession. Together, let's champion ethical practices and build a future where PR stands for trust, integrity, and genuine relationship building. My name is Emmanuella Naa Komley Yamoah and I absolutely love PR!! #PublicRelations #EthicsInPR #TrustedCommunication #ProfessionalIntegrity #PRCommunity #LeadershipInPR #EmmanuellaYamoah #PRPlaybookcentral
