Over the years, many people have asked me how to get a job at UNICEF. While I could provide many tips on how to draft and present a good resume or strategies to best showcase skills in an interview, I see more and more that what matters the most is this: if you think you're qualified, you identify with our Core Values, and are passionate about our mission for children, just apply. Apply to different jobs, in different locations (if you can), at different times. Too many brilliant candidates shy away from applying, or think that because they didn't get a job at the first attempt, or second, or third, it will never happen. We do hire and promote many internal candidates, for very good reasons, but don't be discouraged. It happened to me, and to countless colleagues I know. Employers must ensure compliance with legal standards and maintain a fair and respectful hiring process. ✅ Instead of asking the above questions, kindly focus on the questions relating to the following: ·      Relevant qualifications, ·       Experience, ·      Skills that directly relate to the job requirements. In case you are interested

You're not applying for that job because you don't tick all the boxes on the job description. But who said the company is looking for a perfect candidate? I remember last 2 years, I saw a job advertisement with an international NGO that required some experience with USAID grant accounting and a minimum of a masters degree. I had none but I applied anyway. Do you know something, I was called for an interview. I went all the way to the last interview and eventually had an offer but it was for 8 months so i had to let go. A recent report by HP stated men are more likely to apply for jobs where they are 60% qualified. Women on the other hand mostly apply for jobs that they meet 100% of the job requirements. It's not surprising that unemployment is higher in females than in males in Ghana though the females slightly outnumber the males. To you young lady, dare to dream. Apply for that job if you tick 60% of the job requirements. Yes, employers know you're not perfect but with the right packaging and attitude, you stand a greater chance of getting that job. Don't limit yourself to qualifications and number of experiences. If you don't lnoe how to sell yourself on your CV to stand out, I can help you. In any case what do you lose if they don't call you for an interview. At least you've tried.

We are forced to leave our homeland!! (Personal opinion) The well skilled person is needed everywhere. It is not the case that the lack jobs for well skilled and educated people in pakistan will damage someone's career. We have multiple opportunities to work for any company outside our country. Sad to say that the real talent in pakistan is wasted and that is the reason why people prefer not to work here. The situation in pakistan is that much bad that the Thela chalany wala gets 17th scale job whereas the educated or well skilled person runs cabin. Therefore, we must pay attention to the skills and find the opportunities not only in our country but also look for outside the premises of pakistan. Salary displays with hefty promises 5. Email address - for a WV email it always has @wvi.org 6. Ridiculous instructions like "apply for one position only" or only communicate via WhatsApp and no calls. 7. They make you pay money for a job or the promise of an interview. 8. They ask you to send your CV via WhatsApp. 9. After you engage the supposed recruiter, they get emotional when you ask questions.
