In Bangladesh, United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) is undertaking a study to demonstrate the negative effect of climate change induced displacement on women and girls' SRHR. The World Bank estimates that if BAU persists, 13.3 million Bangladeshis will be displaced by climate change by 2050 -- and the majority will be women and girls. To secure their continued access to sexual and reproductive health services, UNFPA is partnering with the GOB, @Sida, @Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, and others to strengthen health system resilience in Bangladesh. #climatechange #climateaction #climateresilience #health #srhr

Every day around the world women and children die due to preventable complications in pregnancy and childbirth. Unsafe abortions account for 13% of all maternal deaths. Sweden fights for women’s right to decide over their own bodies and for safe abortion care. If we are serious about ending preventable maternal deaths, we must fully respect everyone’s right to exercise control over their own bodies. Through our support to the UNFPA Maternal and Newborn Health Thematic Fund, Sweden has contributed to making more than 28 million births safer globally over the last 15 years. #SRHR #IECPD30

Australia is continuing investment in the 'Every Moment Matters' campaign to support alcohol-free pregnancies. As part of the 2024-25 budget, their Government announced funding of $5 million.
