Yesterday, we were at Global Corporate Venturing’s 2024 Symposium! Some key takeaways from the day… 📈 Research from PitchBook and Global Corporate Venturing has found that #CVC investment is holding up the ecosystem over the past 18 months as, while #VC funding has fluctuated, CVC has consistently increased. 👥Julio Romo, Founder of Twofourseven Strategy, discussed the importance of reputation management for VCs, and how it’s been found that better reputation management for firms and their #portfolio companies results in 20% higher #returns. 💸VCs ignoring signs of #exponential progress is worse than them betting on them and being wrong. If a VC risks $100, their maximum loss is $100, whereas if they fail to risk the #capital in the first place, they could miss out on $1000s.
