Making a Difference is about creating real, tangible value for society before seeking any rewards. In a world where many leaders have claimed value without truly contributing, it’s vital to remember that genuine leadership involves prioritizing the needs of others and the community first. Those who create value are celebrated and respected, while those who seek to claim value without contribution fall short of true leadership. Creating value isn't limited to a single role. Whether as an investor, general manager, entrepreneur, or active community member, the ability to positively impact society distinguishes exceptional leaders. It’s this principle that sets apart graduates of esteemed institutions, guiding them to provide leadership in all walks of life. Let’s all reflect on this. While the concept probably predates Rakesh Sondhi’s Total Strategy, a VMOST analysis is still a useful way of figuring out what your organization wants to accomplish and how it plans to go about it. Assumptions are sand traps when it comes to planning and submitting proposals.
