Today is International Women's Day, which this year is about #InspireInclusion. It's about breaking down barriers and creating a culture where everyone is valued, no matter where they come from or what they do. This aspiration is deeply rooted in our company values. 🤝 As part of our sustainability strategy, we have set a target of at least 30% women in management positions worldwide. This means that by 2025 at the latest, the proportion of new female hires should be higher than the current proportion of women among all employees. In recent years, we have implemented a number of tools and programs to help us achieve this goal: 💬 TOUGH Mentoring: This program is aimed at women interested in a management career and matches them with experienced managers. 🔎 Women & Career Program: Regular workshops and presentations on topics such as self-efficacy, promotion skills and assertiveness are held for all women in the company. 🤝 Collaborations with women's networks complement the program and offer a wide range of opportunities for exchange. We have not yet reached our goal, but we are committed to continuously improving equal opportunities TÜV Rheinland Group. Together, we want to create an inclusive work environment that is characterized by openness, appreciation, and diversity. A working environment where everyone can actively contribute and develop their talents. #tuvrheinland #todayfortomorrowTR #InternationalWomensDay

“We don’t call her Mother Nature for nothing.” The opening statement of the new nature documentary 'Queens' by National Geographic immediately captivated me. Even though I have only watched the first episode, it serves as a powerful reminder on #internationalwomensday2024: 🦁 "The Lion's Pride: Let's Stick Together!" It's crucial that we unite instead of tearing each other down. In my journey, I've been fortunate to receive unwavering support from both women and men - friends, colleagues, and family. My ladies, there’s often not a lot of us around the table, so let's stick together. 🐟 "Orca's Matriarchal Wisdom: Embrace Mentorship." There's invaluable wisdom from those who've walked the path before us. I've been privileged to be mentored by the remarkable Carine Lucas through the A Seat At The Table Female in STEM mentorship program. Organisations like ie-net ingenieursvereniging, The Ada Talks, The Nine, and more provide platforms for experienced women to uplift the next generation. Feel free to share additional networks in the comments! 🐒 "Bonobo's Kindness: Sharing is Caring.” Women excel in emotional and social intelligence, qualities sorely needed in today's world. Let's assemble diverse teams, embracing differences in sex, race, skills, and more to tackle our challenges. Diversity fuels success. Let's celebrate our freedom to voice opinions and advocate for those who can't. Nature presents countless examples of female leadership. Just like in the wild, we too can lead with instinct, charisma, and wisdom. Happy International Women’s Day! For more inspiring stories of female role models in nature, check out Forbes' article in the comments.

On Friday, I had the privilege of hosting the International Women’s Day event organized by Alphablue—the Her Equity;IWD. It was an amazing and inspiring time with the speakers and attendees as we discussed, “Inspire Inclusion.” ✅The speakers: Jennifer Turay who spoke about women taking the lead, Chika Ibeh who shared more insights about the benefits of harnessing digital tools for your brand and business, Favour Badu who unveiled suitable tech skills for women and Kaneng Rwang-Pam who shared soft skills that would elevate our careers. These FOUR women did fascinating justice to their topics. They revealed strategies on how women could put themselves there, be open to learning and seek opportunities for growth. They also encouraged the attendees to brace up and take on the challenge to be more than just the norm. What actually stood out for me during the event was that, none of the speakers made mention of the fact that there was no inclusion in the society, or how there was still inequality amongst both genders. There was a consistent flow of discussion on “Women were unstoppable and the power to be great laid in our hands, because in the end, no one was really stopping us from achieving our goals or aspirations.” They kept on empathizing on how the whole world relied on us and the role we had to play, which is, the ability to profer wise diverse solutions that would suit every gender, race, tribe, and even the different generations. This had me thinking that we had the key to greatness. Afterall, there are women breaking boundaries to get to the top. Yes there are challenges, but let’s looks at it this way, “is there any aspect of life that doesn’t have challenges?” So, it is up to us to develop a positive mindset and stop hiding under the shadow of, “they won’t let me do it, or it’s not my role as a woman.” If you still think that way in the 21st century, then it’s a “you” thing. When you start showing up with problem-solving skills, that’s when you’ll realize that, “your spot has been reserved for a very long time.” Ladies, it’s time for you to step out and unleash your potential.⚡️ ☑️Fun fact: Let me do a little intro of myself… I am amazing Oge, a content/communications strategist. I specialize in developing bespoke content and communication strategies that would elevate your brand’s identity. Do reach out! Happy Mother’s Day to every mom and future moms. Let’s have a grinding week!
