This week’s #OpportunityZone Outlook, Salt Lake City, Utah officials cut the ribbon for the Post District development. Located in a Salt Lake City Opportunity Zone, the project will address the city’s housing demands while contributing a vibrant mix of dining and retail spaces. In other news, EJF Capital LLC and Crimson Canyon announced they secured permanent financing for a warehouse development in a Buckeye, Arizona Opportunity Zone. The construction for the project was capitalized with OZ equity and bank loans. In addition, Trilogy Investment Company, LLC is preparing to build a townhome community in Decatur, in collaboration with Seattle-based real estate investment firm Pinnacle Partners. The Decatur development is one of three that Trilogy is working on with Pinnacle Partners as part of the firm’s recently launched BTR Opportunity Zone Fund. The fund aims to create housing opportunities within economically distressed communities by backing the production of affordable build-to-rent developments. The companies previously came together to develop BTR properties in Charlotte, North Carolina, and Avondale, Arizona, a suburb of Phoenix. Both of these projects are currently in development. Basically, every proposed project in the City of Monticello, must tie back to our Monti2024 plan, which was created using your feedback and expectations for our community.
