Gen Z does not care about live sports... According to a Morning Consult survey, 33% of Gen Z consumers in the U.S. don't watch any live sports at all. This is compared to 24% of all U.S. adults who said they don't watch live sports. Only 53% of Gen Z-ers identify as sports fans, compared to 63% of all adults and 69% of millennials. A generation raised on short form clips refuses to watch hour long sports broadcasts. So it shouldn't suprise fans when NFL leans into Taylor Swift or when college football embraces Deion Sanders - because they need stories to sell sports.
