In 2025, we are opening an MRI unit as part of an exciting new centre for neuroscience on Grays Inn Road in central London. There will be five of the latest high-tech MRI scanners in the new centre, in addition to the five existing MRI scanners at Queen Square. We are hiring radiographers to join our neuroradiology team. The neuroradiology team will work across both sites and play a key role in diagnosing and treating patients, as well as allowing more patients to take part in research studies for brain conditions. Portable MRI has the potential to transform neonatal brain imaging 🚀 This study compares state of the art 3T MRI with novel portable Ultra-Low-Field MRI (0,064 T - Hyperfine) on 87 infants in the UK They concluded that “optimised portable MR can provide sufficient contrast, signal, and resolution for neuroanatomical identification and detection of a range of clinically important abnormalities” This has the potential to radically speed up the neurological neonatal diagnosis while reducing the transport of small fragile babies from the ICU to radiology, and to offer MRI in places where it does not exist for infants yet This study has been published in The Lancet Link in the comment👇 #MRI #HealthTech

Check out this awesome update from one of our tenants K1C Consulting.
Exciting News: Our latest innovation was published in the American Journal of Neuroradiology! We are thrilled to announce the publication of the worked performed by Andrew Callen, MD and K1C team members Richard Wojcik, MSME, CSWA and Michael Bojanowski in the American Journal of Neuroradiology. This report, titled "A Novel Patient-Positioning Device for Dynamic CT Myelography" introduces an innovative device for localizing cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leaks. Key Advancements: · Increase diagnostic accuracy and procedural reproducibility · Safe manipulation of the spinal angle on the CT table. · Patients can be positioned decubitus or prone and can start the examination in a horizontal or angled position. · Elevation is smooth and controlled, height can be adjusted while leaving the needle in place if needed. · Streamline the Dynamic CT Myelography procedure for radiologists. This achievement reflects the dedication of Dr. Callen and K1C. We're excited about the positive impact our breakthrough will have on patients and the neuroradiology community. Thanks to our colleagues and partners for their support. The full publication is now available in the American Journal of Neuroradiology. Feel free to reach out for questions or collaboration opportunities. Let's continue pushing the boundaries of medical innovation together! #Neuroradiology #MedicalInnovation #Research #CSFLeakLocalization #DynamicCTMyelography #HealthcareInnovation

Diffusion weighted imaging (DWI) is one of my favourite MRI sequences and is useful for so much more than the detection of acute ischemic stroke. That said, it's also not the easiest sequence to understand (in terms of physical basis) and to correctly interpret and analyze. An overview of diffusion weighted imaging in neuroradiology can be found on The Neuroradiologist Channel: https://lnkd.in/ex9tRtm4. Aimed at radiology residents, experienced radiologists who just want a refreher, and anyone with a heart and mind for Neuroradiology. #neuroradiology #radiology #brain #neurology #neurosurgery #MRI #medical #medicalstudent #DWI
