UCLA IoES has secured a $3M grant to tackle extreme heat in Los Angeles 🔥 The LARC #HEAT campaign will protect vulnerable communities from rising temperatures, collaborating with 75 public health experts, tribal leaders, and the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health. By 2045, the number of annual heatwaves in LA is likely to increase tenfold. “Together, we will share actions people can take to prevent serious illness,” said Erin Coutts, director of the collaborative.
