How can we describe the difference between IBDP and Cambridge A Levels in a fewer words? The International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP) is a holistic, internationally recognized high school program that emphasizes a broad curriculum, critical thinking, and community service. Cambridge A Levels, on the other hand, are subject-focused, in-depth qualifications that offer flexibility and specialization in specific subjects.

Educational Leader | MAICD | MACEL | Educator Hotlist - 2022 & 2023 | CIOLook Global: 10 Most Visionary Educational Leaders - 2024
Today represents a 'gateway' day for the amazing Loreto graduates of the 'Class of 2023', as they transition from the classroom to the big, wide world. Their hard work up to this point has enabled them to acquire a set of skills, qualifications, subject results and tertiary ranks that will enable them to successfully take the 'next step' in their individual journey. It is also a day to recognise the collective effort and importance of 'team'. These amazing outcomes would not be possible without the support of parents, carers, teaching staff and school support staff. The Curriculum Leadership Team, the Year Co-ordinators and senior teachers all deserve recognition for their efforts to build the capacity of each of our seniors. These educators have provide the creativity, critical thinking, research skills and perseverance that will enable our seniors to thrive in the world beyond Loreto. I am delighted to share that the 2023 cohort has achieved the best overall academic results in the history of Loreto College Coorparoo, with over a third of eligible students (36%) receiving an ATAR of 95 or above and 53% of eligible students achieving an ATAR of 90 or above. The College's median ATAR was 91.8. The College is pleased to report that 65% of all General Subject Results were 80% and above, and 92% of all General Subject Results were either an A or a B. 100% of all General and Applied Subject Results were either an A, B or C. Our commitment to supporting a diverse range of pathways is evident in that 100% of all graduating students have attained a Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE). All students in the 2023 cohort have exited with certification. Furthermore, 9% of students graduated with a Diploma and 29% gained a Certificate III or IV. The College recognises the 23 students (18% of QTAC applicants) who have received early offers for tertiary study and the 3 students who have already been awarded scholarships. #proudtobeloreto #QCAA #team #educationalleadership #educationalexcellence #21stcenturyskills #vocationaleducation

Transnational joint education provision — education jointly developed and delivered by two or more #highereducation institutions in different countries — has emerged as a desired experience for many students, a key priority of several institutions, and a site of innovation. The strategic importance of this topic on a European level is one of the reasons it was selected for the 2023 EUA Learning & Teaching Thematic Peer Group entitled “Challenges and enablers in designing transnational joint education provision”. The group’s findings are compiled in this report, which outlines the group’s conceptual understanding of the term, benefits and challenges of engaging in #transnational joint #education provision, and recommendations geared towards higher education leadership, staff members, as well as national and regional-level governments.
