I enjoyed this, especially the historical context. Providing a historical timeline of academic fraud really helps to contextualise the issue, showing that it is not a new phenomenon, and showing how it has evolved over time. I also liked that some of the evidence is using data analytics to identify patterns of cheating, this kind evidence-based approach really resonates with some of the people I work with. I would have liked to have had a more in depth discussion about the use of data analytics and surveillance and how the ethical questions about student privacy are addressed. I also think it could have been really interesting to have the student perspective, trying to get an understanding of why students might engage in contract cheating could have really added to the discussion.
