Thrilled to share that I have the honor of presenting at the College Transfer Program Association (CTPA) Conference today 🎉, focusing on a subject close to my heart: DEIB (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging) Initiatives but with a little twist - "Advancing Transfer Success" 🌍🤝. In today's educational landscape, fostering an environment that celebrates diversity 🌈 and ensures equitable opportunities ⚖️ is paramount. My presentation will delve into the intricacies of integrating DEIB principles into transfer programs, highlighting how these initiatives not only enrich the educational journey for transfer students but also lay the groundwork for a more inclusive and supportive academic community 👫👭👬. We will explore actionable strategies to dismantle barriers 🚧 faced by marginalized students and examine case studies 📚 demonstrating the transformative impact of DEIB-focused policies and practices on transfer success rates. Congratulations to our IBDP Class of 2023! We have a remarkable 100% pass rate, surpassing the world pass rate of 79.7%. This accomplishment highlights the unwavering dedication and commitment of our students and educators. Within our DP cohort, the average score attained was 37 out of 45 points. This achievement stands favourably in comparison to the world average of 30.2 points. 25% of our students at IGBIS scored 40 and above out of 45 points, embodying their commitment to excellence.
