Dean Andrew J. Butler attended the signing of HB133. The Preceptor Tax Incentive Program provides income tax credit that he says "will allow many more clinics in rural Alabama to bring aspiring health professionals who will deliver much needed care to the families in these communities that have been underserved for far too long." The bill was supported by UAB’s School of Nursing and Heersink School of Medicine (Department of Family and Community Medicine) - it was sponsored by Rep. Neil Rafferty (HD 54).
