Good morning! This week we bring you timely insights by EMARKETER' s Arielle Feger & LTK around back-to-school shopping behaviors. Spoiler: it's starting a lot earlier this year! ✏️✂️📓 Based on an online survey of more than 1,100 US shoppers during March 2024, nearly half (49%) of US adults will have begun back-to-school shopping by early July! Additional insights highlighted in eMarketer's article: 1. US back-to-school retail sales is expected to grow 3.2% to ~$81 billion this year 2. The majority (65%) of those sales will take place in physical retail locations. However, ecommerce’s portion of back-to-school sales has risen from 31.5% in 2021 to 34.9% in 2024. 3. Retailers will need to rely heavily on deals and promotions to secure their share of retail sales, and ensure they're strategically placing them throughout the summer to appeal to the maximum number of consumers. Learn more here 👉🏼 https://lnkd.in/gzCAYRkS Thank you, Arielle for shedding light on these trends as we head into the summer!
