For the past several days, our Meals that Matter® disaster relief team has been on the ground in communities surrounding Sioux City, Iowa, severely impacted by the recent flooding throughout the Midwest. Our team members served hot meals to victims, volunteers and first responders. After distributing meals, ice and water, the team supported several local food banks with protein donations—ultimately serving more than 400 counties!

In the wake of devastating tornadoes and storms right here in Northwest Arkansas, our Meals that Matter® disaster relief team was and continues to be on the ground to support our home state. Team members and volunteers, alongside our friends at Walmart, have been working hard to cook hot meals and distribute ice and water. Because when a natural disaster strikes, it’s more important than ever to support the communities we live and work in.

We recognize how earning a degree can unlock doors of opportunity. That’s why we offer our U.S. team members their choice of 300 tuition-free education programs from top schools. Through our partnership with Guild, Sherry has earned her high school diploma and been promoted to plant supervisor — and we’re cheering her on as she continues her education!   Because the more you know, the more you grow. 🎓 #GraduationSeason #CareerGrowth #CareerMobility

We’re proud to have Paul Rampersaud as our government affairs and regulatory affairs #intern from the Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute. During his time in our Washington, D.C., office, Paul has put his passion for community into action by helping advance legislation.    While we hope Paul has learned a few takeaways from us, we also learn from our interns and team members. By listening to each other and providing ongoing development for all, we continue to adapt and grow as #OneTeamOneTyson.

Today, our team members gathered for the fourth annual GiveFest at our Springdale, Arkansas, World Headquarters! They visited with 50 local nonprofit groups to learn more about what they do, the services they provide and how to become a volunteer. Plus, there was live music, on-site food trucks and tons of fun with peers. We can't wait to see how our team members continue to get involved with these organizations! 🤝

#EarthMonth provides a moment to reflect on the incredible work our team members are doing every day to help us be a more sustainable, responsible and innovative food company.   Grounded by our ambition — The Formula to Feed the Future — team members are leading #sustainability initiatives like the new Local Grain Services Sustain program, which provides financial incentives and technical assistance for our partners who adopt sustainable farming practices.   We’re proud of our progress but know there is more work to be done. That’s why we’re driven to continue helping evolve a future food system capable of feeding the world today and for generations.
