TWUSUPER welcomes the passing of the recent transport reform laws by the Senate. This new legislation will lead to fairer, safer minimum standards for many of our members in the transport sector and provides vital rights and greater protection for on-demand gig economy workers.    The years of campaigning by employers, associations and the TWU, with support of TWUSUPER , will provide important protection for workers, save lives and businesses in transport, and mean a better future for TWUSUPER members.  “This legislation will bring positive change to our industry. It is a triumph of our unity that this reform has now passed. Unlikely allies came together over the shared goal to make transport fair, sustainable and viable. Most significantly, this legislation will give us the necessary protections to stave off exploitative gig competition that threatened to take down traditional transport operators.
