In the coming days, students from six SDSN member universities will present their groundbreaking solutions to address climate change and will battle for the final award of the 'Universities for Goal 13' competition organized by Siemens Gamesa and SDSN. Participating universities include: Tsinghua University, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro, Case Western Reserve University, Monash University, and the University of Southamptonl Stay tuned for more information about the winning solution. The first Swiss Education Delegation (of the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation SERI) since 2019! It was a great pleasure to join the meetings and discussions of this distinguished delegation at Tsinghua, and I do hope that the universities from two sides could join hands on more SDG-based cooperation in the very near future.😀

The Global Sustainable Development Congress (GSDC) 2024, with the theme of 'Uniting Higher Education, Governments, Industry and Society for a Sustainable Future', was held on June 10-13 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) in Bangkok, Thailand. Yi ZHENG (Jenny), Head of Office of Tsinghua SDG Institute (清华大学全球可持续发展研究院（TUSDG）), attended the series of meetings and delivered speeches. On June 11, Mahidol University (Mahidol University) hosted the Roundtable on 'Driving University's Core Business towards SDGs and Sustainability'. On June 13, a panel discussion on 'Fostering Advocates for Sustainable Cities and Communities: The Role of Education and Training' was hosted by GSDC. Meanwhile, during the GSDC 2024, the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) Thailand Network held a SDSN close-door meeting.
