Look forward to MADFEST tomorrow, speaking about Magnum's journey-redefining Edible Luxury. From Freezer to Fashion week: A Brand Experience, at 2:20 UK time. Using this opportunity saluting the generations of incredible brand crafters who have carefully and expertly grew this brand to what it is today. As my boss Ben Curtis always says, "We're standing on the shoulders of the giants." So cheers to all of them and can't wait to share the journey we have had together.

This one is for my proudest trophy 🏆, my son🩵 Moments like this are rare. Moments that you feel fully complete as a working mother. Because most of the time your heart is in 2 places. Missing your son’s bedtime stuck in an “important” work event or missing a work trip because you dont have the support system or child care at that moment . It is tough. There is continuous fear of missing out and non-stop guilt. There are continous sacrifices you make from yourself. Every day is full of moments where you could be in one of the two worlds. And you make choices. Choices you hope are the right ones. I am lucky enough to bring the two worlds as close as possible thanks to my work that allows this Unilever , to my boss Ben Curtis who is a bold advocate of women empowerment and to my superhero husband Marin Gerov who makes it happen by taking care of our boy in proximity of wherever I have to be, tirelessly. Last week at Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity I felt one of these rare moments of completeness again. This was the moment my 2-year-old got to hold his first Grand Prix sharing it with the hands of one of the world's most incredible creatives, Tomás Ostiglia and Miguel Simoes of Lola (won thanks to all the brilliant minds of @LolaMullenLowe). And it was a moment to pause and celebrate because in moments like this, I remember the “why”. Why I so try so hard to make the impossible happen. Yes, being a working mom is tough. But in those rare moments where my heart is at one place, I remember how lucky I am and actually, how lucky my son is for all the experience 💜 This year Cannes Lions was not only an inspiration of creative works for me. Meeting and listening to wonderful women who are working so hard for gender equity, carving not only their but also next generations’ paths, I felt I am part of something much bigger than my own story. And I am so grateful to be able to follow those carved before me in my very own way… and very committed to encourage others to find their own way and fight to execute their plan fearlessly. It was a real pleasure to end the week at Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity receiving the honorary “Marketer of the Year “ award for Unilever with the amazing marketers of Dove, Axe , DIG and many other wonderful representatives of Unilever’s power brands and also to get our final Cannes Lions of the year with our Magnum Find Your Summer campaign for Film Craft🤍 Feeling happy, lucky and grateful for this wonderful week of inspiration & connection, thanks to our leadership Ben Curtis Julien Barraux and the great program organised by Sarah Mansfield 🙏🏼

We found our summer once again yesterday and there was immense pleasure in it. “Find Your Summer” by the unstoppable LOLA MullenLowe , brought home the Grand Prix in OOH and more in Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity Not only that, it challenged the perceptions that icecream and our favorite summer moments are only for 3 months, that actually summer is a state of mind, a beautiful feeling we can find when we search for it. And that anyone can find their summer without counting days to quarter of the year , having best of pleasures whenever they want. As the market leader and maker, we will continue to bring icecream and the feeling of summer whenever wherever. And this is a great encouragement🤍 Big thanks to all the wonderful brains, hearts and souls which crafted it from strategy to execution. Every year, we drop our most exciting campaign around our newest products and in collaboration with iconic talent in Cannes Film Festival. We call it home and it has become a ritual for friends of Magnum to meet there. The energy is incredible and seeing the community with 80 content creators friends from around the world meeting in our experience studio, grow year on year makes us so happy. On top of all this, what makes me most proud is seeing the evolution of this program from being a traditional event to a social first community led ecosystem.. giving the power to fans, making sure whatever happens in Cannes doesn't stay in Cannes through the eyes of our content creators and more. For this year’s massive success I want to thank Rosie Festus who led this massive program and ecosystem with so much passion with her team Roberta Lorusso Willem Van Isselmuden Ying Hu Jasmine Dijkstra, our social media team Jyoti Khabra & Ustudio , our media partners Eva Nygardhs Marina Calabuig Sarah Mansfield and our agencies who poured lots of love into this , all to bring to life the incredible launch of our newest mood-inspired ice creams: Magnum Euphoria, Wonder, and Chill crafted by our Madeleine Holmström Szugalski Layanne Elboreini Denis Antonius Raquel Martín with the dream & chefmanship of Jamie Bridge I truly believe this year was special; partnering with an icon in the intersection of gen z, fashion and music - the Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Troye Sivan, a stellar remix of Troye's Honey into three moods by the incredible producer Mura Masa, a live listening party hosted on the Magnum beach where Troye Sivan & Iggy Pop came together and let fans around the world determined which track they wanted to hear first based on their mood, and a euphoric celebration party with Troye Sivan, Charlie XCX, MuraMasa, Mika and Justice,Kelly Rutherford and many more friends. “If you are not risking, you are not living”.   It was only one of the many wise and bold statements Iris Apfel made. The more you read about her, the more you’d understand why she made it. The fact that she was the first woman to ever wear jeans, was only one example of how she didn’t like rules or stereotypes.   It was 2019 February, when we flied to Miami- her home & favorite place, when we first met her. I was just watching her prepare putting one bracelet after another preparing for the shoot thinking “this is a lot of bracelets”, when I heard her ask “Did we not bring more bracelets from home?” She really showed the world “ More is more and less is a bore”. And she was never boring, not for a minute. She worked till the very last month of her life. She always had places she wanted to go. And there were never enough flea markets for her to visit and be inspired. I hope she also knew she was the biggest inspiration herself, an inspiration to many people to many iconic brands, and that she was more than that to Magnum. That she was our muse.   Looking back, I’m so glad that we crossed roads with her and so glad that we did a film where her words shined above anything, leaving the next generations a beautiful manifesto on how to enjoy life to the fullest. In the end as she says, "You've only got one trip, you have to remember that.'" #IrisApfel
