A Team Building Adventure!!!!!!!!!!! My senior executive team recently embarked on an unforgettable team building exercise: climbing the Manitou Incline, a notoriously challenging trail with 2,744 steps, a summit elevation of over 8,000 feet, and the steepest grade reaching 68%! Initially, there were trepidation and doubts. But together, we embraced the challenge, fueled by our unwavering determination. With every step, we pushed ourselves and each other, supporting and encouraging along the way. The incline tested our physical limits, but it also revealed our resilience and grit. As a team, we conquered our fears, one step at a time. The summit, with its breathtaking views, became a testament to our collective effort and unwavering resolve. This experience not only strengthened our bonds but also instilled within us a profound sense of accomplishment. We learned the importance of teamwork, perseverance, and the rewards of stepping outside our comfort zones. I am immensely proud of my team for their determination and the incredible spirit they displayed throughout this challenging adventure. 📅 In 2022, we had to change the way we open innovate. The ways people consumes, works, travels, lives together were forever changed by the pandemic and a new paradigm 🌳 That's why we've decided to build upon the ashes of the #DaherLab, the new open innovation program Imagineering by Daher. It took us a year to design, interviewing partners, collaborators and our ecosystems to fine tune this ambitious enterprise. 🚀In June 2023, we launched the program The name ? A tribute to Walt Disney Imagineering, so that from all imaginations, emerge concrete solutions, services and products that create a real positive difference. 💡 Daher has always been a pioneer, imagining and engineering what the industry and our clients need, crave and desire. 😎 I'm very proud of this buzzing year where we had to go from zero to one, like a startup. We were like entrepreneurs but within a big corporate, managing all aspects of a small business. Farewell 2023! I am incredibly grateful for the year gone by. It was a superb year, both professionally and personally. I feel I could find a better life & work balance. Learnt to let go, say yes and no more often and with more conviction. Challenged status-quo, initiated fun projects that I am convinced will be impactful in the short and long run, forged amazing collaborations, made new friends, reconnected with the old friends. One of the most fun experiences was putting together the #PowerOfRespect campaign during the World Athletics Championships in Budapest with an amazing bunch of colleagues and collaborators. Here is a video highlight of how it landed with our community. Three key findings: -       The diversity of our athletics community is mind-blowing. It is to be experienced to be believed. -       Athletes and the athletics community want to be in the centre of conversation about their sport. -       Ideas come from everywhere, creating a safe and fun environment for conversation is the key to unlocking them. I wish you all a fabulous 2024. My resolutions: Better health, more laughter, more time for family and friends, and focused work. 

🔦 👨💼 Employee Spotlight is a new section we introduce in our page in order to make our people and their expertise more visible to you. What better way to inaugurate this new section then, than introducing Martin Hofman, an important executive and an exceptional gentleman. An expert in engineering, logistics and supply chain management, Martin joined Streem Global in early 2021 as Chief of Quality & Engineering, having already accumulated more than twenty years of invaluable experience in logistics, supply chains and the distribution market. But even before joining Streem Global, he was no stranger to our country, having settled here since 2001. He is not particularly fond of stagnant situations, so he is always up for a new challenge, be that a mental or physical one. Professionally, he’s had his fair share of challenges. Still, what he deems the most demanding (and rewarding) project he has ever undertaken, is raising his children, especially as they get older and need to be guided through the final stages of adolescence into adulthood. He gets excited when things come together. “This could be a client accepting a proposed technical solution, the first pallet going into a new warehouse or seeing new processes being applied by the people. Especially if it involves a big project with many people, when all the pieces of the puzzle fall into place, it’s the best thing!” As far as his vision for Streem Global goes: “I like to believe that we all have the same vision for Streem! My role in this vision is to make sure that, in the end, Streem can be on a par with the big players in the 3PL market in terms of technology used, productivity achieved, and standards applied”. Martin enjoys running, hiking, puzzles and cinema. He’s fluent in English, Dutch, Greek and German, so his expertise is shared in many languages – an ideal trait in an industry that is of global scope.
