MRFF 2024: “Promoting Safer Families: Strengthening primary care to sustainably address domestic and family violence”   We are proud to announce we will be leading this world-first trial on generating evidence for DFV women victim-survivor's outcomes from a primary care system intervention.     Funded through the Medical Research Future Fund Primary Health Care Grant we will evaluate the impact on women’s mental health and sense of safety from implementing novel interventions in general practice (including Medicare item for family safety assessment planning, clinical decision tool for GPs and peer care navigator to support affected women) #DFV #research #primarycare #generalpractice

Don Antonucci, President and CEO, talked with Becker's about how the success of the Behavioral Health Concierge program at Providence Health Plan (PHP). The program, which is aimed at addressing the growing demand for mental and behavioral healthcare, made therapy more accessible and convenient for both PHP caregivers and members. "There was always a demand for behavioral healthcare, but now there's an expectation to be able to offer this," he said. "We have to make sure that the people providing services have access to this promise because that then translates to the member and patient experience as well." Brooklyn's story is a reminder that patient voices matter. It took 9 years before an endocrinologist realized what was going on to cause her health challenges and diagnosed her with Turner syndrome. The earlier patients are diagnosed, the sooner they can begin monitoring and treatment for the many comorbidities that can occur with the condition, and we encourage all health care providers to know the signs of TS.
