Happy 4th of July from the Troon family! This Independence Day, we're proud to highlight our partnership with Folds of Honor, the leading non-profit organization that provides educational scholarships to families of fallen or disabled military and first responders. For golf clubs looking to support, Folds of Honor offers various ways to get involved. Clubs can host dedicated tournaments, organize golf marathons, or create special patriotic-themed events. These activations not only raise funds but also increase awareness for this important mission. Individuals can also contribute directly through donations. Every contribution, big or small, helps provide educational opportunities for the families of our nation's heroes. To learn more about hosting an event at your club or to make a direct contribution, visit the link below and together, we can make a difference in the lives of these deserving families. https://lnkd.in/geEntTPU

I wanted to take a moment to share something deeply personal and important to me. Seven months ago, I took a leap of faith and founded a manhood development/AAU basketball called the Dream Team. It was born out of a deep-seated belief that we can make a profound impact on the next generation, especially those who need it the most. Little did I know then that the Dream Team would grow to become something bigger and more impactful than I ever imagined. Our program is free for all players because we firmly believe that every child deserves access to opportunities, regardless of their background. However, as we all know, youth sports come with financial costs. Despite facing financial challenges, we have achieved some remarkable successes. When we began, the average GPA of our players was 2.6. Today, after just seven months, it stands at an impressive 3.12. These are not just numbers; they represent the tangible difference we are making in the lives of these young individuals. I believe in the power of community and collective action. Currently our programs doesn’t have the funds to sustain this program, so we need your help. You can donate and receive popcorn. We get 50% of the proceeds or you can donate directly. https://lnkd.in/gbKKx53v CLICK HERE TO DONATE: https://lnkd.in/gtV5EnRE Click on page for link.

It's my favorite day of the year, ExtraGive! Today the small community of Lancaster, PA will raise millions of dollars for local charities. We're at $1.3M already, and it's not even 9am. While there are many worthy charities in our community, I ask that you consider supporting Lancaster Public Library. Some reasons to support LPL include... The Lancaster Public Library serves over 40% of the county's population with two locations in Lancaster City and Mountville. The Lancaster Public Library serves more than 350,000 annual visitors in a typical year with free public library services. Lancaster Public Library patrons borrow nearly 700,000 items each year. The Lancaster Public Library is not fully funded with public dollars. In fact, more than 60% of our budget is funded through donations and library generated revenue. Across the country, comparably sized public libraries operate with budgets two to three times ours, have over twice as many staff members, and receive upwards of $38 per resident of dedicated local funding! In comparison, the Lancaster Public Library receives about $1.49 per resident in local funding and it isn't guaranteed.

Hello everyone! This year I am serving as a Fundraiser for NEPA Gives on behalf of United Neighborhood Centers of NEPA. My fundraising link: https://lnkd.in/einY2Fdd As a UNC employee, I’m excited to share that I am helping UNC reach our goal of $25,000 during NEPA Gives on June 6-7. This 24-hour event is a chance for us to make a real impact in our community. Every contribution gets amplified with bonus funds, making your support even more significant. ❤️ What are we doing over at UNC? Meeting Basic Needs: We're providing essentials like food, utility assistance, health counseling, and prescription vouchers to those in crisis. Job Readiness: Our workforce development and job readiness programs help individuals secure jobs that offer family-sustaining wages. Youth and Senior Programs: These range from after-school programs for kids and teens to activities that help older adults live well and independently. Education & Learning: Offering English language and adult literacy classes to ensure everyone has the tools they need to succeed. Revitalizing Neighborhoods: Leading projects to renew the Pine Brook section of Scranton, making it a better place for everyone. The Impact of Your Support: 10,036 families were assisted last year. More than 40,000 bags of food were distributed in 2023, a 63% increase from 2022. 1,369 older adults enjoyed educational and social activities in our five Senior Community Centers. 7,560 individuals received health care support, with 2,000 accessing services for the first time in 2023. 6,883 children were served throughout our agency in 2023, an 18% increase from 2022. 414 individuals from 65 countries benefited from our English, literacy, and citizenship classes. 166 people were helped with job readiness and workforce training. 123 teens engaged in our free after-school enrichment programs. 22 home improvement projects were completed in the Pine Brook section of Scranton. 54 local vendors supported our year-round farmers markets. Interested in making a contribution? Please use my link to make a donation: https://lnkd.in/einY2Fdd Unable to donate at this time? No worries! Sharing this post for additional reach is just as appreciated. Together, We Can Do More. Your donation creates direct impact, providing critical resources and opportunities.
