APPROVAL ✅ Project Name: Demolition and New Works, and Car Parking Reduction   Location: 36 Newry Street,Carlton North   Year: 2023   Client: Gowrie Victoria   The Task: The proposal as per plans prepared by Co-Lab Architecture, sought permission to demolish the existing single storey office building that associated with the existing childcare centre and proposed new works on the site. The proposed works were to be connected to the existing childcare centre and would be considered as a single building.   The Outcome: The proposal is for the use of the site for a childcare centre that will continue to operate for over 15 years with no intention of discontinuing operations that require the land to be maintained for child welfare. The proposed new works introduce two additional classrooms with associated kitchen/office and a multi-use zone. Our team and the external consultants worked together efficiently in order to obtain favorable results from the council. The proposal of the childcare centre would not adversely impact the existing heritage building on the site and thus the council saw it fit to grant us a planning permit for this project. #townplanning #approvals #developments
