"God bless you and your family on this 4th of July, 2024!" 🇺🇸 July 4th represents the foundation of the greatest country in the world.🌎 Representing the largest boating market with an estimated 100 million Americans enjoying freedom on the water every year. We are proud that Flamingo Electric is part of the American dream and look forward to rolling out our founding story soon. As a glimpse, we will share our perspective on why we founded Flamingo Electric. Eric & Brian Davis have always been inspired by market-driven innovation. The foundation of a new venture sits at the intersection of technological fit, customer and product use improvement, significant white space, segment scale, and access to appropriate investment capital. For Flamingo Electric, each of these elements converge with the emergence of⚡electromobility in marine. We worked for over 12 months before our founding in 2022, aligning technical feasibility, customer benefit, business investment capacity, and overall team commitment. When each of these items was fully explored, we determined that we were on the eve of the greatest opportunity of our lifetimes to change the customer experience on the water. And the most exciting part, we can do it today, with today's battery technology. Creating an uncompromising experience with today’s batteries requires everything else to change. We are implementing new technology and new business solutions that allow our customers to benefit. A whole new era is coming to the inland lake! Flamingo represents mutiny to tradition. A business that is 💯% focused on the customer, while allowing family togetherness without the cost of environmental impact. A future where boats are silently cruising, and our customers never haul another gas can or organize winter maintenance. A new expectation where boat downtime turns into energy independence and contribution to your home and community. We are very excited to bring each of you into the Flamingo journey and appreciate all of your support. Here is to the beginning of a new era. Stay tuned: https://hubs.li/Q02Fp0zs0 #america #happyfourth #independence

E-scooter usage continues to expand worldwide, bringing social, health, economic, and environmental benefits but also real and perceived safety challenges. https://lnkd.in/g8ezmSMN, via TRB's BTSCRP, UNC Highway Safety Research Center, University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Equitable Cities LLC, and Safe Streets Research & Consulting. -- Chicago is expanding its bicycle network and encouraging e-scooter riders to use bicycle facilities to reduce sidewalk conflicts. Denver is focusing on education instead of citations for sidewalk riding, acknowledging the learning curve and safety concerns of riders. Portland's e-scooter program has been evaluated and found to be safe and reliable for riders, but there are concerns about racial profiling, lack of safe infrastructure, and sidewalk riding. Washington, D.C. has one of the highest shared micromobility ridership rates in the country, thanks to a focus on safety, education, and equitable access.

The trail-building industry began in the 1970s and had a high point in the early 2000s when it shifted from “get it done” to small machinery so the trail is enjoyable, durable, and sustainable rather than just a path to the destination. Isn’t that the truth that today’s society needs?! Singletrack Trail’s purpose is to build trails that have a positive impact on the Outdoor Recreation Industry and the infrastructure of trails. Trails are essential pieces of our economy, our society, and therefore we need to pay for them much like highways, roads, sewers, and housing. Based out of Fort Collins meet Greg Mazu of Singletrack on Callosum’s interview series “Beyond Revenue.” This extended 45-minute conversation covers: - Driving brand culture - Federal deferred maintenance funds - Restarting from experience - Innovative funding - You cannot think big enough - ready for the next step. The link is your invitation to watch or listen in. https://lnkd.in/ge9WRSe8 #outdoorindustry #branding #purposedriven #impact

Good cities should feel like home. But with up to 60% of space dedicated to car infrastructure, they’ve become homes to the cars that drive through them — not the people that live in them. 🤦 We’re on a mission to turn that around. Our latest campaign encourages people to challenge car-centricity and aspire towards urban environments with lower traffic emissions, less congestion, and more places for people. Towards places we can proudly call home. 1️⃣ The first step? Getting some fluffy bunny slippers. 2️⃣ The second? Giving shared mobility a try. This is 1 of 2,827,153* assets created as part of the campaign. Stay tuned to see them as they roll out. *Actual number may vary depending on how much coffee we have left. #Bolt #CitiesForPeople

Introducing the #RedLightTest: Imagine you're rushing to cross the street, faced with a red light but no traffic in sight. What's your move—cross or wait for the green? 🚦 I took the challenge and found that waiting wasn't as easy as I thought. This experiment got me thinking about the lessons we instil in our children: "Wait for the green light." But are we practicing what we preach? Just today, I witnessed an adult biking through a shopping centre, stopping only at the escalator to the train station—deserted, yet a stark reminder of our selective adherence to rules. 🕒 Time is invaluable, but so is integrity. How can we expect adherence to rules if we ourselves selectively follow them? Let's lead by example, not just by words. #LeadByExample #IntegrityInAction

Did you know that the EU dedicates over 30,000km2 of land to parking, an area equivalent to half the size of Belgium? Cities devote too much space to storing and moving cars, despite evidence showing that the speed and convenience of commuting is only getting worse. Shared mobility can reduce the need for so much parking infrastructure. If we reduce the need for so much parking space, we can replace it with people-friendly areas. This will influence all areas of life: from the safety of vulnerable road users, to air and noise quality and the success of local businesses. Bolt #citiesforpeople
