As I dive deeper into exploring beyond just Nike purchases, I've found the Keen shoes I bought to be excellent. However, my aim is to keep experimenting with various brands to find a silhouette that truly excels in performance and innovation, providing the utmost comfort and support for my feet and body, whether it's for sports like running, tennis, basketball, golf, hiking, or fashionable sportswear….helping me find those solutions to my daily life. When considering my next purchase, I'll prioritize factors such as the shoe's performance, innovation, materials, style, and understanding the ethos behind each brand. So, I'm reaching out to the LinkedIn community for suggestions on what shoe I should try next. Should I go for Adidas, Puma, New Balance, Brooks, ASICS, Kizik, Reebok, Hoka, On, Vans, Uggs, Crocs or another brand altogether? #marketing #insights #consumer #testing #storytelling #shoes #sportswear #outdoor #fashion

I've been a Nike loyalist for as long as I can remember, from my childhood to my time working at Nike. Today, while taking our kids to their soccer games, I wore and bought my first non-Nike shoe in a long time. My oldest snapped a picture, noting its classic yet stylish look. It also helps that my daughter who’s a teenager thinks that my look was on point or on trend 🤣😂. As my Gen Alpha daughter praised its feel and performance (thanks to enhanced foam securing my foot), I agreed. The shoe, a trail runner from KEEN's archives called the A86, offered an aggressive trail tread and all-day sneaker comfort with retro suede craftsmanship. The feel is on point and supports the heel. I tried to buy more colors, but they were mostly sold out. Kudos to an amazing shoe to the KEEN team! Scott Owen Aaron Pempel Scott Labbe Martha Mundorff-Humphrey Genevieve Long Nijimaru Ohno entire Keen org! I’m a fan! #marketing #footwear #style #innovation #performance #engineering #art #science #fashion #elements #listening #consumer #creative #curious #collaborative #consistency

Unraveling the Mystery: The Price Tag on 'Ugly' Shoes Ever found yourself questioning the price tag on a pair of shoes that didn't exactly scream "fashion-forward"? You're not alone! As a Sales Athlete at Nike, I can let you in on a little secret - those "ugly" shoes are anything but basic. At Nike, each running shoe is meticulously categorized to match the unique needs of different foot types. From high arches to flat feet, there's a shoe for everyone. And while they may not be the most eye-catching, these shoes are crafted to provide the perfect blend of comfort and support, personalized to your unique foot anatomy. Yep, your feet have their categories now! Being part of the Nike family showed me the immense research and dedication that goes into creating each pair. It's not just about trends; it's about enhancing your performance and making you feel like you're walking on clouds - or running if that's your thing! So, the next time you hesitate at the price tag of those seemingly "ugly" shoes, remember the science, technology, and sheer love for feet that went into making them. It's not just a pair of shoes; it's a tailored experience for your feet, and that, my friends, is priceless. Lace up and step into the world where comfort meets style! 👟🚀 #NikeInsider #ShoeStories #WalkInStyle

Travis Scott is the most dominant Nike collaborator of 2023. Nike recently revealed the five most popular sneaker releases on the SNKRS app in 2023: 1. Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Medium Olive” 2. Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low Golf “Neutral Olive” 3. Jarritos x Nike SB Dunk Low 4. Nike SB x Air Jordan 4 “Pine Green” 5. Nike Kobe 6 Protro “Reverse Grinch” And what was the number one sneaker release from the year before? The Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Reverse Mocha.” Really the last five years of Nike have been bolstered by the popularity of Travis Scott sneakers. It makes you wonder how long this can keep up in the future, what risks are associated with being so closely tied to a public figure (e.g. adidas and Ye), and if people will get tired of Travis Scott shoes or not. Over the last few months, I've seen people wear Travis Scott shoes (real or otherwise) in New York, London, Rotterdam, Riyadh, Manila, and Seoul. The popularity of Travis Scott x Nike collabs is global and so long as people keep wearing his shoes, there will still be demand for new and upcoming Travis Scott sneaker releases. https://lnkd.in/eN8K5VZp #travisscott #nike #sneakers #sneakerhead #snkrs #sneakerculture

One of the big questions in the sneakersphere is to rock or stock. With the value of the resale market at a continual high, it’s no surprise that five per cent of sneakerheads have never worn anything from their sneaker shelves and 11 per cent have only worn half of the sneakers they own. After all, sneakerheads are collectors at their core. However, we’ve seen a kick back on this sentiment recently, with one store going as far as making the winners of their raffle for the Powerpuff Girls x Nike collection smash their boxes and another request buyers to prove their golfing prowess before being able to buy Travis Scott’s golf shoe. Out of those surveyed, 36 per cent wear every single shoe in their collection, which leaves just over half sitting somewhere in the middle of the debate. 👟 Phoenix Suns NBA player Devin Booker is the latest athlete to have his own Nike signature shoe line. Earlier this week, Devin Booker started posting teaser videos on his Instagram of the upcoming "Nike Book 1." The latest news is that one of the new Nike Book 1 colorways might involve a collaboration with Drake, since it's named after his upcoming album "For All The Dogs." An athlete having their own Nike signature shoe line, like Kevin Durant, Ja Morant or Jayson Tatum, usually indicates they've reached a new level of fame and significance. That comes with additional resources and marketing from Nike - and potentially new hype from the resale market. So if the Nike Book 1 does well, maybe this is the beginning of another great sneaker line. And this could also affect the demand for other Devin Booker collectibles, like trading cards and sports memorabilia. https://lnkd.in/dSwWQ4Qy #collectibles #nba #basketball #nike #nikeshoes #sneakers

When it comes to controversy, Nike has mastered the art, and their latest Nike x JACQUEMUS collaboration, is no exception. Front and center of this daring Spring 2024 collection is none other than the unapologetic force of nature, Sha'Carri Richardson. Drawing inspiration from Nike's history of eyebrow-raising moments and disruptive campaigns (hello, Kaepernick's "Dream Crazy"), Richardson embodies the spirit of breaking boundaries and pushing limits. From the unmistakable "Swoosh Bag" to the avant-garde "Le Haut Drapé", each piece in this collection serves as a bold declaration of individuality and athleticism. In true Nike fashion (why add a pun if you don’t intend it?), Sha'Carri Richardson takes the spotlight, emphasizing that this collaboration isn't just about fashion anymore. This campaign is a powerful statement, paying homage to unapologetic self-expression, and a jubilation of those who fearlessly shatter molds. Fall is coming! Chloe Parr said it best, "arguably the best season for fashion." My take on the season (in the sneaker world): This fall looks to be shaping up to be the fall of Asics, resurgence of Samba hype, and overall strong Adidas popularity but with volatile demand. The Asics Gel Kayano 14s have been a new wardrobe staple after breaking onto the scene a few months ago and don't seem to be losing any hype. Their breakout Gel-Kayano 14 models have a great combo of color, style, and comfort. White Samba volume has picked up tremendously and prices have crawled back up to $20 over retail. Some may have thought the Samba craze was over, but think again, they're back. We are also seeing some of the best samba colorways yet, quietly releasing... but if you ask me, a little late Adidas... Adidas Campus, Gazelle's, and Handball's. Simple, comfortable, and trendy shoes. Also, all have retails right around $100. These are the type of shoes that Adidas should have on hand ready to sell to the masses. But we have seen their struggles with keeping some of these colorways on the shelves. My theory is they don't want to overproduce the unpopular colors and they don't want to dilute the demand by overproducing the popular colors. https://lnkd.in/eYuUCUiN
