In honor of Women’s History Month, I want to take a moment to pay it forward by sharing some of the best career advice I received:
- Everyone - especially people in under-represented groups - needs both a mentor and a sponsor. A mentor advises you, teaches you, and gives you feedback. A sponsor speaks FOR you when you're not in "the room where it happens," setting you up for opportunities.
- Try to find work that you think is interesting (at least a good portion of the time!). This will drive you to keep learning, to go the extra mile to help your clients and your team, and to hold yourself to high standards. Not only will those traits help you stand out to mentors and sponsors, but you'll also have a lot more fun.
- Set boundaries that work for you, so you can refuel and re-energize. Boundaries look very different for different people, but no one will do it for you. Remember that part of doing the work well is taking care of yourself.

Entrepreneurship in Girl Scouts?
I am humbled and honored to be recognized by Girls Scouts for their 27th Annual Breakfast Badge Awards!!
Congratulations to my fellow Honorees!
Girl Scouts was a part of my upbringing, and I was glad to be able to participate in it with my daughter. We know how important it is for girls to thrive in their communities and Girl Scouts has long been a driving force. And, the backbone of that force is, of course, Mom Volunteers (Mom-power!)
Not only does Girl Scouts inspire our next generation in #leadership, life skills, philanthropy or service, today they have a focus on #STEM and #Entrepreneurship. Two things I am passionate about.
Can you imagine if entrepreneurship was encouraged in Girl Scouts when we were growing up? If we were encouraged to solve problems, build companies and give others career opportunities - instead of getting a job?

Good afternoon beautiful world 🌍❤️,
SUCCESS champions the power and strength of women. We believe that the feats of womankind should not be designated to a single month, but celebrated without limits.
That is why we support the work of women everywhere—and why we created the annual Women of Influence awards. Designed to spotlight 50 extraordinary women whose contributions consistently transform lives and transcend boundaries, these awards recognize the women we know, the women we trust and the women we aspire to be.

Entrepreneurship Isn't a Solo Journey
Running your business can feel lonely, but remember, you're not alone.
Today, I had a heart-to-heart chat with a friend in the IT industry. We discussed the challenges of starting a company and pushing forward each day. It is not easy, and it's not for the weak.
What makes it difficult is it does get lonely when you don't have someone to explain what you're going through or someone who understands you the challenges your going through.
What I've learned is connecting with your peers is critical.
I've learned so much from conversations with friends, vendors, and people like Melanie Rae. It's these connections that keep us going.
Just a reminder to all entrepreneurs out there: don't be afraid to reach out and talk to others in your field. It really helps.

TFA celebrates the achievements of women who are part of TFA. We are immensely grateful for their positive impact on our communities, whether mentoring, educating their communities about, or breaking glass ceilings.
Every woman plays a critical role in shaping our past, present, and future. This month, we honor the incredible women who have made significant contributions to history and continue to do so.
Happy Women's History Month!
I was so blown away by the Women Empowerment Awards back in September that even months later, my inspiration led me to capturing my reflections with pen and paper. I firmly believe that it is upon all of us to act as allies and contribute to empowering girls, young women, and women from diverse backgrounds.
These awards create an inviting environment for women to celebrate themselves boldly and unapologetically and it's critical that young girls and women from all backgrounds can see a path to success. By showcasing these remarkable women, it sparks inspiration, igniting a sense of wonder—the kind of wonder that unleashes our potential in a world full of possibilities. As women, we possess the superpower and capacity to build community, foster togetherness, and support connection. With our collective power, we are creating ripples of change that will have a profound, long-lasting impact on future generations.
Together, we are unstoppable. Our strength multiplies in numbers, and our unity as a community is more formidable. We are collectively building the power to effect change. As Jully Black eloquently put it at the event, "It’s not about giving from an empty cup, it’s about giving from the overflow." To all the women out there, let's stand together, amplify our voices, be a community of awesomeness, and extend a helping hand to one another. Keep rocking it, keep letting your sparkle shine, and don't let anyone or anything dim your light. Together, we can raise the hill so that others can see further. Be a mentor, be an advocate, be a champion.
Here are some of my key takeaways:
📢 Give back and share your knowledge and experience with others. Mobilize girls and women to recognize their value as leaders and support their efforts.
📢 Understand that we are all navigating the journey to success, and it's okay not to be okay. Be willing to be vulnerable and ask for help. Recognize that the climb to success isn't easy. To prevail, we must stand together, linking arms and holding each other's hands. Let us shift from envy to empowerment.
📢 Unapologetically occupy the space you need to be yourself. Have the courage to fearlessly pursue your intentions and believe in your dreams. Assert your worth.
📢 Understand that life is a continuous journey of growth, and we continuously learn from new people we meet. Embrace others with open arms and invite them into your community. This is the beauty of community-building—it never stops evolving.
📢 Remember, you are the light—shine it brightly and never allow anything or anyone to dim your brilliance. Believe in the words of the song, "This little light of mine, I’m going to let it shine, let it shine, all the time."
