We gained 61 Instagram followers in one week! I just finished promoting my organization’s free in-person event. It was indoor and outdoor. And, of course, this year, we had horrible rain, and we were apprehensive about turnout. Turns out most Oregonians really can handle the rain! We had just about the same amount of attendees as last year when it was glorious weather! Most of the promotions happened via social media—organic and boosted reels. I’ve also built relationships with local family groups and media outlets. The social media campaign leading up to the event increased our organic reach by 588% and 100% from boosted reels in one week. We need more reliable attendee counter volunteers—or some other system. I'm open to suggestions! Sometimes, the best ideas happen randomly— like this reel! Sheep selfies in the comments!

Number 1 mistake that I wish people would stop making when growing their social media pages. Neglecting their community. When you neglect your community you are hurting your brand presence because it results in aot of things. 1. Lack fo engagement - when you neglect the community, people might stop interacting with your content. 2. You miss opportunities for relationship building. When you take care of your community it fosters a sense of connection and loyalty which might increase brand advocacy. 3. Limited reach and exposure because social media algorithms prioritizes content that generates engagement and foster community interaction. 4. Decreased trust and credibility. When you neglect your community, your brand loses its credibility and people stop trusting it. So, do not make this mistake anymore. You need to reply to those comments and take care of your community. #SMM #socialmedia #socialmediamanagement #marketingtips
