🚀 The GMEC ENDEL-TRACTEBEL consortium launches its intervention to replace the primary circuit component at the Blayais nuclear site! The intervention carried out by ALTRAD ENDEL has been prepared and supported by Tractebel. 🎉 ALTRAD ENDEL site teams organised two weeks ago an event to celebrate the beginning of the intervention to replace the C elbow of Unit 3's loop 3 at the Blayais nuclear power plant in France. Tractebel's Chief Global Nuclear Officer Denis Dumont participated in the event. ⚛ As part of the long-term operation programme of the French nuclear fleet (“grand carénage”), Tractebel is supporting EDF to replace components of the primary loop damaged by thermal ageing. Our experts carried out mechanical studies and advanced civil works to prepare the intervention at Blayais. 👷♂️ 👩💼 Several Tractebel team members are on site until September during the intervention. They will take an active part in monitoring on-site activities. Experts and calculators are still involved and will be on call during crucial moments. 🤝 Close collaboration between ENDEL, Tractebel and the subcontractors with the client EDF's nuclear fleet engineering division (DIPDE) and nuclear power generation centre (CNPE) has been and will be key to the success.
