Congratulations to Versed AI for recently joining the Exiger team! 🎉 This successful exit follows an incredible four-and-a-half-year journey that accelerates Versed AI into the market leader of AI-driven supply chain data mapping. The amazing story started when Simon B., a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Theoretical and Applied Linguistics, and a fellow PhD student from Institute for Manufacturing (IfM), University of Cambridge developed technology based on Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Machine Learning (ML) to resolve the potential blind spots to serious risks companies have in global, complex supply chains. In 2019, they entered their technology into our Postdoc Business Plan Competition where they finished first place after their technologies ability to ingest a large amount of data and derive knowledge from it, won over the judges. We've championed their journey all the way, from support to win Innovate UK funding from Emma Salgard Cunha and Dr Gillian Davis in our Tech Transfer team, to investment management from James Thomas and Chris Gibbs in Cambridge Enterprise Ventures, to name just a few. Versed AI has gone from strength to strength, securing valuable partnerships and developing a natural language processing AI engine to automate the mapping of complex, global supply chain data for derisking and business intelligence purposes. Together we're so proud to see how Versed AI has emerged from University of Cambridge's School of Arts and Humanities to become a world-leader and industry game-changer. #AI #Technology #SupplyChainMapping #CambridgeInnovation
