Construction businesses have work to do in sustainability transition readiness Marsh's latest data suggests that construction companies have work to do in preparing for a sustainable future. The construction industry scored below the overall average in environmental, social, and combined ESG scores. They also found that companies with a sustainability officer showed significantly better performance. The findings highlight the need for construction firms to prioritise areas such as governance, environmental practices, and social impact to bridge the gap. By implementing stronger ESG frameworks and engaging stakeholders, construction companies can make strides towards a more sustainable and responsible industry.

Collaborating with the world's leading vendors of disruptive software - securing the best talent as they scale. 🏗️
A really interesting read from Mark Schwartz here. When we speak with construction technology vendors, many of them are acutely aware that the current sustainability focus is driving adoption for solutions that deliver this. End users are legally mandated and morally mandated to operate more sustainably. However, this doesn't mean that other priorities must be dropped, if anything, wherever gains in efficiency and productivity can be found - sustainability can be achieved. The myth that sustainability is a net cost to a business can be busted through this trail of thinking.
