Department of Tourism - Bhutan’s Post

Every year on December 13th, the Druk Wangyel Tshechu is held at Dochula Mountain pass to honor His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo and the Royal Bhutan Army. Located an hour's drive from Thimphu on the way to Punakha, Dochula features 108 identical chortens that serve as a landmark for travellers. What sets the Druk Wangyel Tshechu apart is its unique mask dances, not commonly seen in other Bhutanese festivals. 📸 Bassem Nimah #DrukWangyel #Dochula #Thimphu #Punakha #Bhutanbelieve #Bhutan #BhutanTourism #VisitBhutan #TourismBhutan #BhutanDiaries #BhutanTravel #Believe
