FH2R green H2 Project of Toshiba is my personal crush 😍 being a world’s first & largest power-to-gas system, in operations since 2020, #greenhydrogen produced here are utilized in power generation, mobility & as fuel in factories, a true #hydrogeneconomy ,isn't? Many companies are still thinking in this direction but Toshiba has demonstrated it successfully in much advance.
Also I would like to highlight, today its not a big deal for EPC companies to put some solar panels, electrolyzers, etc together to produce green H2 but the real challenge starts after this in efficiently managing the demand & supply side how? 💡 🤔 ....Let's understand, its beacuse complexities involved in :
1. H2 Production,
2. H2 Storage,
3. H2 Demand forecasting systems,
4. H2 Supply forecasting systems
5. And eventually to adjust the H2 produced to keep demand and supply balanced in the power grid.
Well it doesn't stops here, system should also be efficient & robust enough to use the electricity that comes from the renewable energy generated in the solar power generation unit. #RE sources such as Solar, wind power generation are dependent on weather conditions and can cause major fluctuations in power output. These fluctuations pose challenge to maintain the balance of supply and demand of power. Therefore, the heart of this scale project is the system control technology, which manages three factors—hydrogen production and storage, supply-demand adjustments in the power grid, and the use of electricity derived from renewable energy in the most optimal way.
