Year 2 of our updated business plan reinforces our commitment to promoting sustainability and driving environmental consciousness within the light rail industry.  As we move ahead into 2023-24, the key initiatives outlined are: • Supporting the entire sector in the Rail Sustainability review. • Promoting the impact of Light Rail on cutting CO2 emissions, reducing carbon footprints, and enhancing air quality to all City Regions, Combined, Local & Transport Authorities. • Continuing the improvement of sustainability through Innovation, R&D and collaboration. • Sharing developments and initiatives for further improving the sector's environmental credentials. Sustainability and achieving a net-zero future are not simply buzzwords but essential goals for a greener, cleaner, and more sustainable nation. San Diego's 2022 #ClimateActionPlan sets ambitious targets: achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2035. A key initiative in this plan is Circuit's all electric shuttle service, led by my colleagues Daniel Kramer & Mark Iannon. Our electric shuttles reduce emissions, take SOVs off the roads, and expand access to #masstransit.
