Russian air crews participate in joint military exercise with Belarus The joint tactical exercise was carried out on the territory of Belarus between May 27 and 31 MOSCOW, May 31/ Air crews of the Russian Aerospace Forces participated in a joint exercise with the Belarusian Air Force and Air Defense Forces, the Russian defense ministry said. "Crews of Su-30SM multirole fighter jets, Su-24 tactical bombers, as well as of Mi-24 and Mi-8 army aviation helicopters participated in a joint tactical flight training with the personnel of the Belarusian Air Force and Air Defence Forces," the ministry said. It is positive to see that the UK government is acknowledging the importance of aligning itself with global trends in UAS. However, the UK Ministry of Defence must urgently revamp its procurement processes to maximise the funding available. Autonomy is poised to become a significant industrial breakthrough. One major challenge I anticipate is the reluctance to integrate UAS platforms into crewed airspace, especially from a military standpoint. This situation calls for a reassessment that prioritises how crewed aircraft can coexist with UAS in the shared airspace.
