Tomgo Agro Machines' Journey at the IITMIC KRIA'tive Innovation Awards'24 - Winning the Jury's Choice Award! A month ago, on a casual afternoon, we came across a LinkedIn poster from the IITM Incubation Cell advertising the event. Interestingly, our mentors also shared the same poster with us. Recognizing it as a golden opportunity, we promptly registered. To our joy, we received confirmation of being shortlisted! With the final pitch deck due 10 days before the big day, our mentors expertly guided us in crafting the necessary slides. Thanks to Vivid, a student-led startup team from TCE Technology Business Incubator, recommended by Sebin Sunny P sir, We quickly got a well-suited 7-slide pitch deck. The event agenda for the two days in Chennai was packed with networking sessions and mentorship programs with industry experts. Among 24 organizations nationwide, we proudly represented the social innovation category. Armed with our best pitch deck, we presented our vision to esteemed jurors, including representatives from Ashok Leyland, Mahindra Group, and the IITM community. The invaluable feedback we received guided us in refining our approach and aligning our innovation with Sustainable Development Goals. The second day was equally enlightening with panel discussions, particularly on World Intellectual Property Day. Engaging with experts, we deepened our understanding of intellectual property's role in driving socio-economic progress. Our pitching slot was scheduled for 2:15 PM, with each team allotted 15 minutes. We covered every important aspect of our innovation at Tomgo Agro Machines. Then came the moment of triumph – winning the Jury's Choice award! Along with a cash prize of 25000/-. This recognition went beyond mere financial gain or impressing the jury; it underscored the culmination of our journey and the invaluable lessons we've gained. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐫𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐍𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠!!! In addition to participating in the event, we honed the art of networking, capturing the attention of not only the jury but also numerous startups, industry experts, and investors. Their valuable ideas helped refine our business strategies. We learned that merely promoting innovative products or securing patents isn't enough. It's crucial to address customers at all financial levels and integrate sustainable practices to stay ahead – not only in the market but also environmentally, for future benefits.
