Today is the 75th anniversary of one of the world's most groundbreaking global pledges: the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. It took a genuine spirit, unity and understanding of indivisible destiny of humankind and our planet to adopt the document in 1948, following the disasters and atrocities of WWII. Clearly ahead of its time; yet, substantially, it is so much disregarded today, when the extremely costly lessons of the past are forgotten, ignored, bargained again. Peace, Respect, and Inclusivity have NO alternative. We must protect this treasure, being responsible and accountable in every single moment of time.

THIS IS LAST HOPE FOR GAZA In the name of humanity to whosoever this post reaches should sent this post to P.M. and President of his country and also to news papers and TV's. After thorough analysis I realised that there are two basic and fundamental structural defects in the constitution of UN which are 1. Veto Power System for the permanent members of the security council of UN. Since there is a body of all stakeholders in the form of General Assembly wherein all member- countries of the UN are represented there is absolutely no need of Security Council to accept or reject the resolutions passed by General Assembly. As such Security Council should be dissolved forthwith. 2. All member countries of UN are not signatory to the Rome statute consequently some countries are not under the International Criminal Court (ICC) whereas all the member countries have to be under the jurisdiction of ICC so that peace prevails in the world. . Due to these defects America has made a mockery of the UN as it is reduced to a puppet in the hands of the America. Consequently America with some allies have invaded several Muslim countries like Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya and looted these countries then leaving these countries after the loot is complete. Presently America with the help of Israel (both countries are not under the jurisdiction of ICC) is demolishing, cold blooded mass murders, devastation, destruction , displacement, ethenic cleansing, murder especially of children and women and genocide and the whole world including the UN have to be mute spectators of all this and nobody has the powers to question them because of these defects in the constitution of UN. More than seven decades have passed by but the above-mentioned defects in the constitution of UN were not rectified. Non-rectification of these defects has created a very grave situation as instead of peace maintaining organisation UN became a weapon of blackmailing and means of invading and looting the rich countries by some countries which were having the veto power also besides these countries were not signatory to the Rome statute consequently these countries were not under the jurisdiction of ICC. As the result these countries became law per se and virtually became terrorist countries of the world because they were not answerable to any forum for whatever they do. They invaded and looted several countries so much so they created terrorist groups also. Now the climax of lawlessness has reached in Palestine where total devastation, destruction, cold blooded mass murders, genocide, ethenic cleansing, kidnapping and rape of innocent and unarmed civilians is being done and the whole world including UN have to be mute spectators because of the basic and fundamental defects in the constitution of UN have not been rectified. This is the highest time these defects are rectified by the General Assembly. Let General Assembly wake up after decades of slumber and rectify the defects as proposed above.

As we commemorate the 248th anniversary of our independence, it is important to reflect on the sacrifices and struggles that our forefathers endured to secure our freedom. We must remember that our liberty was not easily won, and we must always be vigilant in defending it against any threats or challenges. Throughout history, our nation has faced numerous obstacles and adversaries, but we have always stood strong and united in the face of adversity. Our founding principles of freedom, democracy, and equality continue to guide us as we strive to create a more perfect union. As we celebrate Independence Day, let us honor the brave men and women who have fought and sacrificed for our country. Let us also reaffirm our commitment to upholding the values and ideals that make America a beacon of hope and opportunity for people around the world. In the words of President Ronald Reagan, "We will not go quietly into the night, we will not go without a fight." Let us continue to proudly celebrate our independence and stand as defenders of liberty for generations to come.

Happy 4th of July! Today, the United States celebrates Independence Day, a significant holiday that commemorates the country's freedom. One of the most iconic symbols associated with this festive occasion is the American flag, also known as the Stars and Stripes or Old Glory. The flag has a rich history deeply rooted in American culture and holds immense significance. The American flag's origins can be traced back to June 14, 1777, when the Second Continental Congress officially adopted its design. The flag consisted of thirteen alternating red and white stripes, representing the original thirteen colonies, along with a blue field adorned with thirteen white stars, symbolizing a new constellation. As the United States expanded over the years, the flag evolved to incorporate additional stars, each representing a new state. Beyond its visual representation, the American flag carries profound symbolism. It serves as a powerful emblem of national unity, identity, and pride and embodies the fundamental principles upon which the nation was built, such as freedom, democracy, and resilience. #4thofjuly #independenceday #americanflag

Growing up, I wasn’t taught a whole lot about Black history in school. It wasn’t until my 20s, when I moved to Sierra Leone, that I started to comprehend how much of our history I had been missing. Freetown in the 1990s was, in a way, the perfect place for me to learn about historical events that deeply affected the United States. Not long after my arrival, I learned the story of the Amistad Rebellion; the story of 53 Mende captives who, in 1839, were forcibly enslaved and illegally shipped to Cuba. After an endless, excruciating journey and being subject to severe mistreatment, the captives revolted, taking hold of the Amistad ship, where they were being transported. Without any navigation knowledge, the 53 depended on the remaining crew members to sail back to Sierra Leone but, in the hopes of being rescued, the crew members changed the route which led the ship to Eastern Long Island, New York, where a U.S. naval brig seized the unlawful vessel. The African captives were then jailed and sent to Connecticut to await trial. Following a lengthy legal battle, the case was heard at the U.S. Supreme Court, and the captives were set free. Unknowingly, they played a crucial role in galvanizing the abolitionist movement in the United States. For me, discovering this piece of history while living on another continent underscored the importance of recognition within our borders. History matters, and narratives like the Amistad Rebellion not only resonate globally but also contribute to fostering a culture of understanding and empathy worldwide. #BlackHistoryMonth #BHM
