"The Journey to Excellence: Todd Hayes, COO of Adams Automotive" In the pursuit of excellence, there are no grand celebrations, no applause, and no accolades. The path to success is a silent one, often devoid of praise or recognition. What we envision success to be and what it truly entails are two distinct realities. It's only after accomplishing significant milestones that others may commend your achievements. However, by then, you'll understand that greatness lies not in the applause but in consistent execution. While many perceive success as extraordinary, it ultimately boils down to a simple choice: doing or not doing. Once you grasp this fundamental truth, you'll cease seeking external approval or encouragement. You'll simply focus on taking action, and that alone is sufficient to define your path to excellence. I’ve never pretended to know everything. As a matter of fact, when I was offered my first management job in the car business I probably knew less about the industry than most of the people I was competing with for the job. What set me apart? I never stop learning and more importantly, I believe in people. People who know more than me, but lack direction. People who know less than me, but have superior drive and dedication. People who choose to learn rather than stagnate. People who shine like diamonds, even when they fail. People who challenge me. People who frustrate me. People who will never give up…. I believe that our people are the lifeblood of our business. The superstars and the overachievers aren’t everything, it takes a village and a leader who believes in everyone. I’ve been blessed with many such leaders, and I’m blessed to be in a position where I can lead the next generation of people who haven’t even scratched the surface of their potential. I will always challenge people, and I will always make you dig deep…..but I will always believe in you. We have openings at Santa Margarita Toyota. Are you ready for the challenge? DM for details!

Ford just elevated two family members to executive roles, including baby-faced William Clay Ford III, son of the company's executive chair, whose age the company declined to disclose. What do these appointments mean to senior leaders who aren't named "Ford"? What do they say about the proper management and governance of family-owned enterprises? And will the moves pan out? Keith Naughton and I have the latest. #cars #ford #executives #familyrun #familyowned #governance #management #seniorleaders #familybusiness

Well after 5 years of continuous service at Rick Hendrick Jeep Chrysler Dodge Ram Fiat North Charleston today started my week count down until I leave. So at the end of day seven here are seven things I’m going to miss. The Seven Core Values: 1. Servant Leadership Servant Leaders consciously put the needs of others before their own, because to serve people is value them. 2. Teamwork through Trust & Respect Diversity is strength, and when we trust and respect one another, we can work as a team to achieve at a high level. 3. Integrity Being honest and transparent with people, in an effort to do the right thing within the letter and spirit of the law, drives every action we take and every decision we make. 4. Commitment to Customer Enthusiasm Every day we recommit ourselves to the customer experience, and we are empowered to exceed the expectations of our customers. 5. Passion for Winning Hendrick’s tradition of winning is based on the idea of striving to be the best, not the biggest, and is therefore defined by how we treat our people. 6. Accountability at All Levels Taking ownership of our actions and our decisions allows us to grow as individuals, and support each other as a team. 7. Commitment to Continuous Improvement Every day we soften our hearts as well as our egos, in order to seek out and improve upon areas of opportunity within ourselves and our team.

Executive Director | CAMERA | Mentor and Promoter of Business, Cultural and Scientific Relations between Italy and Canada
Today marks the fifth anniversary of the passing of Sergio Marchionne, a legendary figure in the automotive industry. In commemoration of his exceptional contributions, I am happy to announce a special partnership with Automotive Parts Manufacturers' Association (APMA) and its Flavio Volpe to celebrate this remarkable man. Through this collaboration, ICCO Canada is proud to present "Driving Innovation: Sergio Marchionne's Legacy Five Years On." This initiative aims to recognize a leader who bridged the worlds of Italy and Canada, leaving an indelible mark on both nations. Sergio Marchionne's life and exceptional career serve as a source of inspiration for future generations. 💡🌟 As an Italian-Canadian businessman, Marchionne's journey exemplified determination, strategic thinking, and innovation. After graduating in Philosophy, Law, and Economics, he embarked on a transformative path, saving both Fiat and Chrysler from failure and elevating them to become the world's seventh-largest automaker. “Even now, Sergio Marchionne commutes from one country to another, crossing the ocean and the sky. He has been a leader, and after Garibaldi, he can be called the man of the two worlds. In Italy and Canada, we still talk about him, we still review his legacy, and nobody can deny that he was a unique figure in the automotive world. More than ever, he was a man of praxis and ideas in an industry that needed change. He took the initiative with a sense of sacrifice and bravery. And he never stopped” With a sense of sacrifice, bravery, and unwavering determination, Marchionne took the initiative to drive progress and innovation. His legacy inspires us to continue pushing boundaries, fostering creativity, and embracing change in our pursuit of excellence. 🚗🌟 #SergioMarchionne #DrivingInnovation #TuesdayThoughts #TopicTuesday

It's been a whole year at Martins of Basingstoke Volkswagen, and time has flown by. What an incredible year it's been – filled with learning experiences, occasional mistakes, constant improvement, and meeting some truly amazing individuals. Fortunately, the brand's strong loyalty makes convincing customers to choose a Volkswagen a relatively smooth process. The most rewarding aspect of this job is the shared stories with our customers, making each day at work far from dull. Witnessing the joy on people's faces as they drive away in their new vehicles never loses its charm. Moreover, addressing customer concerns and identifying areas where we can enhance our services is an integral part of the job, ensuring that we continuously strive for improvement. In the dynamic sales environment, it would be remiss not to share some numbers. To date, I've had the privilege selling 244 cars, including 99 new and 145 used. Each transaction represents a unique journey, and the process of learning from any missteps and ensuring they don't recur is fundamental to our collective growth. Here's to another year of growth, learning, and delivering smiles to our customers. Below are a handful of the amazing handovers throughout the year.
