Today marks my 100th day at Jewson Partnership Solutions. It has been exciting so far, filled with warmth, support, and new opportunities. Here are a few highlights from this milestone: 🤝 Onboarding and Welcome: From day one, the open and supportive culture at Jewson Partnership Solutions, has helped me understand the business and made me feel like a valued part of the team.   🎨 Projects and Initiatives: Currently, I'm enjoying being involved in some new initiatives, such as the rebranding project of our sister business, George Boyd UK . Exciting times ahead as we shape the future of our brand!  🌐 Company Culture: What impresses me the most is the open and transparent communication within the wider STARK Building Materials UK. Frank discussions, peer support, and an inclusive environment, make every day a pleasure to be part of.  🤗 Colleague Support: A big shoutout to my colleagues for their unwavering support. From meeting invitations, to inclusive email conversations, and message groups, their effort is appreciated. 🔑 Observations: One key observation I'd like to share, is the importance of a simple but clear strategy that everyone owns. DEI and How I Feel About It Part Two My teams, looking back, have always been diverse and this has been important to me as a factor in hiring. My residents span every possible demographic. When I cultivate diverse teams, we have a bigger pool of experiences to draw from in personally connecting to our clients. I cannot be strong in all things. I have to hire people who can fill in my deficits. I have had sales staff who feel out a prospect and hand them off to a colleague knowing they have more in common with them, can speak the language they are most comfortable with or will bring that colleague in to help close. You can’t do that when everyone on your team is homogenous. Shared values build a team. When people say, “Our team is like a second family,” they aren’t saying they call each other every day and want to spend holidays together. It doesn’t mean we are all the “same.” It means your team has fully bought in to the leadership values. For my teams, it has meant protecting the asset, building each other up/relying on each other’s strengths, and doting on our residents. Every person I have hired strives for daily excellence and that is our bond. We honored the idea that every team member had a unique contribution. Appreciate those differences while being one with your values. This is how I feel about DEI as a goal.    #propertymanagement #diversityandinclusion

Please take the time to #congratulate our region’s newest #branchmanager, headed up 87 North to our Latham Branch…   Patric “Patty Gunz” Guerra   Pat started his career in Area U at 24H3 in May of 2018! He quickly became a standout with his personal #performance and his team player mentality! During a year and half time at H3, Pat was an Area MVP 4X, Top 10 14X, Top 3 3X, and qualified every month as an #managementtrainee and #managementassistant! During his time at H3, the team posted their 3/6/12 month #customerservice scores ALL OVER 90 !   Pat was then #promoted to #assistantmanager for the Beacon location in 24CC. Showing great #flexibility and #leadership by searching for #promotions even outside of HH! Pat continued his #consistency as a top performer in his new role, being qualified all 5 months there. His team had the #1 Net Other in the region for 3 straight months, while again posting 90 Customer Service score!   Pat, like many others, had to deal with the crazy COVID world, and really did tell the story of #resiliency! Pat was told “no” on several interview attempts and then was a part of the COVID challenges with staffing being lessened. Pat was 100% on board with coming back home as the Assistant Manager at 24H3, where he had great success. Pat has been in his position for just over 3 years now, and has many success stories added to his resume. He also has a unique story where he was in for 7 Branch Manager interviews over this timeline, and could have given up after being told no several times. Pat remained #disciplined, #positive in his thinking, and #resilient. He also ensured that his performance was continue to climb, where some would let it drop. He helped aide in over 10 skill/grill, 4 AM Promotions, multiple intern converts, 20 to 40% DEG in back to back years, all while remaining qualified as an Assistant every single month. He and his H3 team currently hold an outstanding 90/89/90 3/6/12 Customer Service score while increasing Net Profit by 42%!   An unbelievable story of sticking the course and believing in your path!   Pat would like to thank Rich Asner, Barry Gray Jr., Mark Gunsch, and his H3 team!   #Congrats again Pat! There aren’t many leaders that I respect more than Best Buy’s Senior Executive Vice President, Kamy Scarlett. She’s brilliant, fun, warm, supportive, and has a way to cut through BS without having to wear a rebellious Sons of Anarchy leather vest to do it. She leads with her authentic personality and embraces and celebrates the individual personalities of her team. Kamy knows that being a front-line associate in a retail environment is a tough gig with long hours, disrespectful customers, and tons of direction from head office. Beyond product knowledge, they have to know specials, offers, and have a photographic memory of the binder that outlines the 5000 guidelines that dictate everything from how to bag a box to 60-day return policies. Kamy’s plan was simple. She simply went to her frontline staff and told them to forget all of that. There was only one direction they needed to understand and to put into practice: “Be Amazing”. That’s it. Be amazing. Kamy hired her people based on beliefs and values and expected them to be amazing at their jobs but she tossed away the script and let them deliver “AMAZING” in their own authentic way. It’s simpler, it’s easier to commit to memory, and it’s way more fulfilling which creates a much better experience for the customers AND the staff. When you inspire your people to be amazing, they will be.
