Producer @ Tilt Creative Production

Being a woman in the production industry over the past 5 years has been an incredible learning journey. Production is a male-dominated field, and seeing women on set is rare. That is something I take seriously and am working to change.   I think women have an innate nature to be “motherly.” This skill goes an incredibly long way in the world of production. There is a very high level of trust needed when you’re working 14 hours a day and traveling around the country for weeks at a time. To me, this inherent skill has organically bridged gaps and created a very close working relationship with my crew members.   My biggest priority as I grow in my career is to continue to “pass the torch” to welcome more women into this industry. It’s important for women to have the same opportunities as men, and I consciously work hard on bridging those gaps, whether that's training someone new or bringing women crew members on set.

The first time I ever stepped onto a production set, I was greeted by Lindsay. She was so welcoming and full of insight, answering any and all questions that I had. I have to attribute part of where I am today because of the guidance of you, Lindsay Hess. We need more Lindsays in the world!
