Here’s to firsts. For approximately 16,000 associates around the world, today is the first day of employment at Veralto. For the market, it is the first day that investors can play a role in the exciting story that is VLTO. And for me, it is the first day that I step into the title of President & Chief Executive Officer.   It is an exhilarating day. A humbling day. An important day. It is a day where I feel immensely privileged, fortunate, and dutiful.   But the feeling of this first in some ways is not new to me. From my days as a young chemist to a newly minted operating company leader to a chief executive, I have often walked a path where I have felt like a “first” or an “only.” These experiences had shaped me in two important ways. First, they have made me a passionate champion for the underdogs of the universe. And second, they remind me that one of the great unifying forces of humanity is a common, important purpose.   So for me, today’s most important first isn’t about my new job or a new stock listing or a new corporate logo. It is about launching a company of purpose – Safeguarding the World’s Most Vital Resources™. It is the first day of a new organization devoted to making sure that people all over the world have clean water, trusted medicines, and safe food. It’s about running a company where every day we make a difference, perform with excellence and strive to get better.   So again, here’s to firsts. Today is the first, but definitely not the last.   Watch what we do to change the world for the better.

Get Beyond Like so many, I joined for a greater cause, a bigger picture, sense of purpose and to build something special. I never imagined though, that “special” would have been an understatement. To the many people that were bound together, that trusted the process and truly valued each other, that’s more than special. Unheard of really. To a recruiter I got to work with, you know who you are, thanking you doesn’t do words justice. You are a phenomenal asset and a better human. To my direct leader: I have had a handful of managers, very few leaders and I can’t thank you enough for the daily motivation, inspiration and encouragement. To Enablement: if there was a question, we all knew you were there to support and assist. Many people often say “they’d be lucky to have you”…. Meh… Honored is more like it. The Team: “I put this team up against any other team”. Well? Results are in and we did not just compete, we won. 🙌 Thank You Get Beyond, We will carry on the vision, the mission, and the values. Heck,we’re just getting started! AV Out

Today's Topic: Be Someplace That Values You I started at Traeger back in April 2023 and it has already been a fantastic journey! The culture is amazing, the extracurricular activities are off the charts, my team is awesome, the extended support system is second to none and the "team of teams" concept of cross-collaborative partnership that FREELY SHARES information with each other is alive and well. I haven't even mentioned the work itself - we make a product that, when done correctly, not only produces amazing food but more importantly brings friends and family together! Part of my experience here is also related to recognition - and the lack thereof with other jobs that I've had recently. Every Monday we have an all-hands meeting either in-person or virtually and during these events teammates are recognized in a program called Value Our Values. A teammate is related to one of the Traeger Core Values and it's explained why & how what they do here at Traeger meets that value. The only way to be eligible for this honor is to be recommended by their peers. I was so fortunate 4 weeks ago to be honored at one of these meetings where my teammate's kind words about me were read aloud in front of 800 employees. The amazing part about this is that I JUST started in April - yet my teammates immediately recognized my value and more importantly the impact that I am having in the very short time I've been here. TO BE CLEAR, this is NOT a "HEY, LOOK AT ME!" moment; my point here is BE SOMEPLACE THAT TRULY VALUES YOU AND THEN RECOGNIZES YOU FOR THE HIGH QUALITY WORK THAT YOU DO. I cannot say that I've always felt this way even at my recent jobs - even though I did epic quality work, instead of being recognized for that I was beaten down for not meeting unconveyed expectations and unrealistically held to tasks that weren't able to be done in the given timeframes. These kinds of things damage morale and relationships as well as erode the confidence of the person subjected to it. When I came to Traeger I attacked my tasks with the same fervor and passion that I have applied at all my other jobs but here I was acknowledged for the work I've put in, and what's amazing is that it was recognized in such a short amount of time. So what is the difference, you say? Recognition is woven into the culture and the very fabric of Traeger because being seen for the work you sweat, bleed and cry for should be and needs to be applauded. Find your place where you are appreciated, never stop working hard toward the goals you've set both personally and professionally and the accolades will follow because we ALL deserve to be recognized for the work we do! Every year, I take off between XMAS and my birthday These 3 weeks of freedom are one of my favorite things about how I have created my career. I clear my calendar from calls so that I have no deadlines or obligations. I let myself do whatever I want. I move from XMAS to NYE to my BDAY in a high vibe. I build up my desire to go back to work that I can’t wait to serve my clients. But most importantly, this break gives me so much space to reflect on the year past and set intentions for the year ahead. If you haven’t picked up on this yet, I’m really into visioning, innovation, and creating your best life 😉 While I do spend a lot of time adventuring, reading, relaxing, and being with my people, the true cornerstone of this vacation is having time to check in with myself, get super clear about what I want, and write it down. BTE Alert !!! (Best of the Best Team Ever) As previously announced last month, I will be posting a slide calling out members of my crew (THE BEST TEAM EVER !!!) every month. These names are based upon submissions to me in 3 categories…and again, I want to call out that to pick the persons and stories from my crew is a daunting task…I am blessed to be a part of a team of amazing people. The catogories are… All Star Performers: Pretty Self Explanatory. While our team always posts great results, market beating results…these individuals are called out for posting results that shock and surprise their management team…in a good way. Team Work Award: Again pretty self explanatory except that what I love about this is when people show this quality…it means that they lead by example. They exhibit a quality we cherish at TDSynnex And lastly Going the Extra Mile…which is now named the “Damon Mims Award”…TDSynnex recently lost one of our team un-expectedly. And at the suggestion of the team, we’ve named the award in his honor, based upon what he was known for…taking that extra time, extra effort, to make something positive happen. The above are all qualities that are part of what make up the BTE, the Best Team Ever !!!
