This year with Morgan's Ace Hardware, I learned how to cut glass and sell lawn care equipmentt I also learned interpersonal skills such as communication and working as a team, not just as a one-man show. The good I saw as an employee was the team's ability to help many customers on unquie needs ranging from the smallest bolt we sell to the biggest lawn mower we carry in the store. the things I learned from most were people who have been in the job way longer than me and their practical tips and advise on how to handle situation and other peoples needs. I learned shortcuts in our point of sale systems and how to make bintages. If I were my boss, I would be happy with my performance. I saw my self work hard and grew in my customer service skills even when the customer was rude. i saw my capacity for large quantities of customers grow and was able to slow down even when I was stressed by the sheer number of customers or their request. i was able to handle large tasks and did not tire as easily. three of my personal goals are being a team player even when i do not know what is happening and just helping a fellow employee out when called. The second is learning the stations that im not so familiar with, like screening a screen window and how to mix paint the third is to be at peace with everyone I work with instead of being in all the drama people can create at times #etowahwbl #georgiawblworks

Meet the #TraffixCrew - Shannon Cotton, Traffic Management Operative Q: Where did you start? A: I found out about the role through one of my friends who works at Traffix. My initial induction and training were very thorough and enjoyable. I learned pretty quickly what the company ethos is and what would be expected of me to maintain the high standards Traffix expect. I am relatively early into my career at Traffix, but my impressions so far are very favourable. Q: What is your role? A: I am part of the team of Traffic Management Operatives that supports one of our large client contracts for highway repairs and improvements. I arrive at the office for my shift, find out where I will be and what the job entails, then the van is loaded with the equipment required and we drive to the job. Once there I will set the job up, carry out whatever the duties are for the day, then it’s a case of taking the job down and back to the office. Q: Where do you see myself next at Traffix? A: There is a lot more to Traffic Management than I first thought. There are so many opportunities to progress at Traffix, it would be nice to keep moving up the ladder and build a career here. I have already started to progress through the ticket levels which helps your earning potential. Q: Why Traffix? A: I chose Traffix because of the professional way in which the interview process was handled and the career path was very interesting, plus everyone was really nice from the moment I walked through the door. I would say the most enjoyable part of the job is the people I work with, being a Traffic Management Operative is a good job, but the team makes it even better. #InternationalWomensDay #IWD24 #TrafficManagement #Careers #CareerOpportunities

The Feonix team continues to grow, and we are excited to welcome Corissa to our team! Learn more about her below 👇 What is your role at Feonix? Senior Executive Assistant What has been your career path before this role? I went to school for audio engineering which led me to running a recording studio and working in radio. Wanting more family friendly working hours, I went into customer service. Taking great pride in the company and what I could do for their success as an employee, led me to developing and growing to where I found myself in the executive assistant role. I have a heart to serve anyone and everyone I come into contact with, making the assistant role a great fit for me. I am excited to not only serve Feonix and our partners, but those that we serve on an everyday basis out in the community. What is your favorite hobby? During the summer you will find me somewhere by water and during the fall you will find me watching football… GO CHIEFS!!! I need winter hobby ideas!! 😄 What do you wish people knew about transportation gaps? I think one of the greatest misconceptions is that someone else is already providing services to those who may not have access to a bus or train. Or that the others providing services can provide for every single person that may need transportation, leaving those without transportation feeling forgotten and hopeless. One ride to an interview can lead to a lifelong career for someone and change a family for generations. One ride to a doctors appointment can lead to someone believing they can beat their diagnosis as opposed to giving up. It may be just a ride, but it can change lives for those needing it. I am glad we are able to help make this gap a little smaller!

You have to be flexible, a problem solver and think outside the box. 🔴 What career advice would you give to your younger self? Stressing is a waste of time and energy. 🔴 If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be? USA- Montana Overseas- Scotland/Ireland 🔴 What’s your favorite way to spend a day off? I used to spend day trips with my family, but I have little adults now, so they are never home. The couch and a good show to watch. If you had TWO WEEKS to make the biggest impact possible in your sales job, what would you do? I'm being forced to think like this right now due to upcoming maternity leave, but this is a question we should all ask ourselves at the end of every quarter. Two things I'm doing... 🎯 Having as many conversations as possible within our existing customer base to leverage quick expansion opportunities 🎯 Making sure Mutual Action Plans I have in place with prospects are being followed and we're on track for EOQ The difference for me is that I'm not building for Q4, but we should ALL be closing out Q3 like we're having babies next month - by making maximum impact and securing yourself some decent commission. What is everyone else doing? #sales #Q3 #closeout

Helping CEOs and Companies Unleash the Full Potential of Their Teams Through Dynamic Speaking Engagements, Actionable Advising and Hands-on Consulting with Interim Roles.
The only way to avoid your biases is to have multiple points of view on your team who are comfortable being themselves and trust you. If you don’t have people in both camps it’s because you either hired/promoted wrong or your team doesn’t trust you and therefore keeps their thoughts to themselves. Let’s #getupandgo together. #retail #retailmanagement #retailleadersroadmap #oldnavy #gapinc #urbanoutfitters #pacsun #wellwisher #herwellwisher #biases
