Co-Founder & COO | Heading Partnerships & Collaborations | TapstartX - India's Digital-first Networking Platform for Entrepreneurs and startups | TISS | Ex-Rediffusion | Ex-Publicis
I do not wish to fail... but I do not wish to run in the wrong direction. You know, it's easy to get caught up in the hype of growth and numbers. But I've learned that slowing down and taking the right steps is far more important than rushing forward and risking it all. I remember when #Founders would ask us about our #community size and what they could gain from joining. We'd humbly share our exact numbers, which might seem small at first, but once they joined, they'd realize the quality and value we offer. That's because we've always believed in quality over quantity. We don't just collect startups and share links to join; we curate a community that's genuine, supportive, and collaborative. Here's the thing: we're not about self-serving agendas or shallow sales pitches. Our mantra is simple: "Connect with Intent, Collaborate with Purpose". We believe in real relationships, built on trust, empathy, and mutual support. No promotions, no noise – just meaningful connections that lead to lasting partnerships and collective growth. I want to thank each and every member of TapstartX for believing in us and supporting our mission. Let's keep building something special together! Thank You Amrit Achipalya 🙌 And a special shoutout to our leaderboard. ❤️ Your leadership and encouragement have inspired us to strive for more, and we're grateful for your presence in our community. When 3 months ago we kicked off the second cohort of the impact accelerator at build3 with 27 participants, we expected a few startups to emerge from the cohort. But we saw 15 startups being created! People built their ideas from the ground up. Ideas were pitched - pivoted - pitched - refined - several times :) Serendipity kicked in and folks found co-founders within the cohort & the larger build3 community. With all the hustle and hard work that these founders put in, finally a few amazing startups have been shortlisted for pre-seed investment by build3! and we soon begin the journey of co-building with them through our venture builder. 💪 These startups are pitching at Virtual Demo Day on Saturday, 10th August, to our extended network of investor-mentors! and if you're someone who - has been looking to invest in purpose profit startups - enjoys investing in a startup beyond capital, with time & knowledge - prefers to get involved in the super early stage & back solid founders - wants to learn how founders today are building in the impact space - wants to experience some amazing founders pitching & sharing their ideas you might enjoy build3's Demo Day :) If you would like to be a part of the event, please share your details in the form linked in the comment, and we'll reach you. p.s. demo day at build3 we only showcase the startups we're investing in, which is a testament of our confidence in the founding team. p.p.s. every time we do events like these, we add some lovely folks who bring value to our community, and I believe this time we'll do so too ❤️ #demoday #investors #impact

Having been a Co founder at 3 Startups and a very early stage team member at many others, the generalists vs specialists debate/conundrum is something that I can easily identify with !! While the stage of the startup and what the startup is/does is obviously a critical consideration, in my opinion and experience, generalists put more miles on the startup road At the #builderXmasterclass by BuilderX by Favcy Favcy Venture Builders Ragini Sharma #learnfrommentors #teambuilding #startups #startupteams #foundertips
Specialists v/s generalists - who should form your founding team? 👀 Watch on to catch insights from the BuilderX Masterclass with Ritesh Kant on 'Building your 0 to 1 team'!✨ Ritesh Kant dives into a crucial question every startup founder faces: Should you hire generalists or specialists for your founding team? He shares that in the early stages, generalists can provide flexibility and agility, adapting to multiple roles as the company evolves. The $500k ARR graveyard is real. A founder texted me this. It's one of the most difficult positions to be in as a startup. - Raised a few million dollars seed round. - Got to $500k ARR in a few years. - No revenue growth. - Runway is decreasing. - New VCs are not writing the next check. - Existing VCs have already written off the investment. - Millions of dollars in pref stack. What should founders do? Almost no options exist for this type of company. Most choose to just shut down. That's why it's worth building an outcome option for founders who have built a good business but it's just not VC backable.

A decade’s journey. It all started after my stint as appsavvy’s CEO and co-founder. The fire of entrepreneurship was still there, but this time, my desire was to work with young, hungry tech founders. Sharing my learnings, both wins and stumbles, seemed like the right path. So, in 2014, I donned the angel investor hat, offering advice from the trenches and some early-stage cash. An LLC for taxes, a quick nod to my lifelong “CC/C2” nickname, and C2V was born. Fast forward a couple of successful angel investments later, and the entrepreneurial itch was back again. 2018 marked the leap from solo angel to full-fledged venture capitalist. Partnering with the talented and quirky Matt Olivio, we capitalized on the established C2V brand, keeping the momentum and community strong. Six years on, with three funds launched and over 48 tech startups backed, C2 Ventures stands tall. Building this venture brick by brick has been a wild ride, and I’m eternally grateful for all the support: our investors, the audacious founders we believe in, the vibrant VC community, and our awesome team. It’s no picnic being a startup ourselves, but we’re carving something special, something built to last. So here’s to C2V, the name that stuck, the brand that evolved, and the legacy we’re crafting, one startup at a time. #startup #venturecapital #founders
