Digitalization 🤝 Climate protection – We are actively contributing to climate protection with our #technologies! Our tool pacemaker.ai plays a crucial role in this: it optimizes supply chains. This not only saves costs, but also protects our #environment. But we go one step further: with our Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) calculator, we make the impact of our efforts visible. This allows us to understand how much CO2 is saved through our optimization measures. The future is digital and green! 🌍💻

Technology is the game changer of our generation - and can have a tremendous effect to help us adapt to the effects of climate change. Read below for an interesting perspective on how technology can be leveraged.
The consequences of climate change are already impacting every facet of society, harming vulnerable communities locally and disrupting value chains globally. Climate adaptation – in conjunction with efforts to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions – is an essential imperative which can be emboldened by technology. From AI to drones, digital and data-driven technologies are particularly suited to help us adapt to the effects of climate change. We must unlock the full potential of these technologies, and make them increasingly standardized, transparent, and equitable. “7 ways to harness technology for climate adaptation," a new article I co-authored for the World Economic Forum, presents a roadmap for maximizing the capabilities of these technologies. With a climate emergency on our doorstep, organizations must take action to reduce climate emissions from their operations. For IT products the lowest-hanging fruit is to reduce the climate impact of IT products by using them as long as possible, every year counts. IT products certified according to TCO Certified must fulfill criteria designed to drive the development of products that can live longer. In this article, we explain why certified IT products are a preferable choice.
Smart choices reduce the climate impact of your IT use

A very interesting organisation that I’ve just come across, the Climate Trace Database. It was launched at this years COP28 and uses a combination of remote sensing technologies and satellites to track individual polluters of greenhouse gases. What a great use of AI technology to help give true visibility & data of the carbon footprint of large supply chains 🌎 https://climatetrace.org
