The Credenza was recently named as The Best Shelving System by the GQ Home Awards in the Living Room category. Noted for its multiple configurations and seamless functionality, GQ editors were also impressed with its simple, tool-free set-up. "The makings of a good shelf are headache-free assembly...The Credenza, made of upcycled rubberwood, more than delivers on those fronts, drawing on the brand’s signature Japanese joinery techniques." Crafting a high-design home bar entails merging sophistication with functionality, creating a space where style meets purpose. These are some of my favorite ideas to elevate your home bar: 1. Statement Materials: Consider a marble or quartz countertop for an elegant touch. Incorporate textured wood or metal finishes for a luxurious yet contemporary appeal. 2. Illuminated Shelving: Install backlit floating shelves to showcase your liquor collection. LED lighting not only adds a chic ambiance but also makes finding bottles easier. 3. Customized Glassware Display: Opt for a glassware storage system that doubles as a display piece. A hanging rack or sleek shelving dedicated to various glass shapes adds a stylish flair. 4. Creative Wall Art: Adorn the walls with unique art pieces or a customized mural that resonates with the ambiance you wish to create, be it vintage, modern, or eclectic. 5. Mix of Textures: Integrate various textures like velvet barstools, leather seating, or a textured backsplash to add depth and visual interest. 6. Smart Bar Technology: Incorporate smart devices like a wine dispenser, automated cocktail maker, or a touch-screen menu for a modern, tech-savvy bar experience. 7. Botanical Touches: Introduce greenery through hanging plants or a small indoor herb garden. Not only do plants add freshness, but they also create a soothing atmosphere. 8. Distinctive Backsplash: Choose an eye-catching backsplash design, perhaps a mosaic pattern, mirrored tiles, or a bold geometric print, to infuse personality into the space. 9. Luxurious Seating: Invest in plush seating options like velvet-upholstered chairs or stools. Swivel chairs or barstools with adjustable height add both comfort and functionality. 10. Hidden Storage Solutions: Utilize hidden storage compartments or cabinets cleverly designed within the bar area to keep clutter at bay while maintaining a sleek appearance. Remember, blending aesthetics with functionality is key in a high-design home bar. Each element should not only contribute to the overall visual appeal but also enhance the ease and enjoyment of hosting and entertaining. Thoughtful design will help you create a sophisticated and functional space for memorable gatherings. #homedesign #homebar #interiordesign #meetmeatthebar #homevalue #homerenovation #worthrealestatecompany

Choosing the right area rug size for your living room can definitely be tricky! Here are some tips to help you out: Consider Furniture Placement: The ideal rug should ideally frame your furniture grouping. Aim for the front legs of your main seating pieces (like your sofa and armchairs) to rest on the rug, with enough space (around 18-24 inches) for walking around the furniture comfortably. Measure Your Space: Don't eyeball it! Grab a measuring tape and get those dimensions. Knowing the length and width of your living room and furniture arrangement will give you a starting point. Think About the Layout: Here are a few common layouts to consider: All Furniture On Rug: If you have a smaller living room, you might choose a rug large enough to accommodate all your furniture. Front Legs Only: This is a popular choice, where the front legs of your sofa and chairs rest on the rug, while the back legs may hang off. Floating Furniture: In a larger living room, you can create a more defined space by having the rug sit completely under a coffee table, with the other furniture pieces floating around it. Here's a Bonus Tip: For a more spacious feel, especially in a smaller living room, consider leaving some bare floor around the perimeter of the rug (around 8-12 inches). Need Help? We've Got You Covered! If you tell us the dimensions of your living room and share a bit about your furniture layout (how you plan to arrange it), we can offer more specific recommendations! We also have a great selection of area rugs in various sizes: https://lnkd.in/diEnhWfW. Let us know if you have any questions! #rugsissue #rugsale #rugshop #rugsandcarpets

🏠✨ Transforming a small space into a spacious oasis is easier than you think! Here are some tips to make your tiny room feel twice as big: 💡Lighten Up: Opt for light, neutral-coloured furniture to create an airy feel. Whites, creams, and soft pastels reflect light and open up the space. ✨Mirror Magic: Hang mirrors strategically to add depth and amplify natural light. They're a stylish way to visually expand your room. 🧠Storage: Maximise vertical space with shelves and cabinets to keep clutter off the floor. Choose multi-functional furniture with built-in storage solutions. ⬇️ Scale Down: Use furniture that fits the scale of the room. Opt for sleek, compact pieces that don’t overwhelm the space. Leggy furniture also creates a sense of openness. 💡Let There Be Light: Maximise natural light by keeping window treatments minimal or sheer. Enhance with layered lighting—overhead fixtures, task lights, and ambient lamps—for a cosy yet spacious atmosphere. If you're looking to stage your property to attract the best quality tenants, get in touch and we can help. If you’re renting your home, be sure to ask to check with your landlord or property manager before fixing anything to walls or changing things that were there when you moved in. It's a simple courtesy and can save any surprises on inspection day.
